“I'm on Oxogyn 24/7, with only 18% of my lung capacity. Yesterday Wednesday March 28th, 2018 my Portable Oxogyn machine would not charge. It started beeping which means the machine is only a couple minutes away from being empty. And I was 30 minutes away from home. My son was with me and Googled closest Fire Department and it showed The Station on the corner of Broadway and Church. He called and informed them we were 2 blocks away and I was out of Oxogyn, I was already starting to feel a little light headed. I WANT TO THANK THIS WONDERFUL GROUP OF FIREFIGHTERS FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR BEING THERE WITH THEIR OXOGYN FOR ME AND BEING SO VERY KIND, PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. WITHOUT THEM I DON'T KNOW WHAT MAY HAVE HAPPENED TO ME. I SPENT PROBABLY 2, 2 1/2 HRS WITH THEM TRYING AND FINALLY HELPING ME. GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND MAY ALL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE. Just call me Purple.....lol”

“Absolute heroes in my book-- I finally gave them a desperate, early morning call for a spewing water leak after calling 3 different "24/7 emergency" plumbing companies and waiting over 2 1/2 hours while floors, carpets, and who knows what filled with water with NO emergency response from the plumbers (first call was made at 2:30 a.m. and it's now almost 5:30 a.m. and I've still heard nothing from the actual plumbers, btw). I know a little less than nothing about plumbing, so the 3 wonderful gentlemen who came out from Fire & Rescue were able to turn off the main, then helped get the source of the actual spewing water turned off, and turned the main back on for us. They shouldn't have had to do all that, but they did and our family is SO grateful for their help. (Even the well- known, reputable emergency plumbers I called earn a big fat "0" in my book on this one-- don't believe their "24/7 on call, emergency service" ads for one minute!) Polk County (Mulberry) Fire Rescue on the other hand, earn HUGE kudos for answering a last- ditch effort, desperate call they really shouldn't have had to worry about. You guys are TRULY the best--THANK YOU!!!????????????????????”
