“I gave birth in this hospital. I am very pleased. I spent 3 days here. Very caring staff, professional nurses and good doctors. The room is very comfortable, there was always cleaning. The staff came every hour. The food was also top notch. There is a menu and you can choose for every taste. Wait only 30 minutes. I am very satisfied with the hospital! He's the best in our state of Virginia!”

“I encourage anyone reading reviews to remember that most reviews posted are about negative experiences. For some reason, folks aren't as inspired to post positive reviews. Not only did the emergency room doctor on duty 1999, the night that I was brought in with an AVM (brain aneurysm) save my life by arguing with Kaiser and life flighting me to UC Davis, but now I believe that they have saved my mother's life as well. She was in Mercy General in Sac, days from death, when we fought, cried, and begged to have her moved back to Sutter Amador Hospital. In less than 12 hours, she was showing signs of improvement. And now, 3 days later, she is strong enough to start rehab. Still gravely ill, but we Can talk to her and hear her wishes and and make her next few weeks or months much more comfortable and happy. In my opinion, Sutter Amador Hospital ROCKS!”

“I have been a patient of Dr. McDonough's for about 4 years and he is AMAZING! Not only is he an excellent physician, he really takes the time to talk with you and answer any questions. I have read the reviews and I do agree that the front office staff could improve with the follow-up of test results without multiple phones calls. This honestly does not bother me too because they are a very busy practice. I have had appointments rescheduled, however, these are respiratory specialists and during times like these, I cannot imagine how crazy busy they are. I would never go anywhere else!”

“I have been going here for about 6 months now. I am amazed at the level of excellent customer service from the front desk to the financial office to the medical staff. They see you after your worst and scary diagnosis and treat you kindly with respect. My appointments are on time and the staff is always in a good mood and ready to help you with what you need. The infusion room staff is wonderful. They are very professional, caring and able to answer your questions. My doctor (Dr. Thummala) takes time and explains everything and answers all my questions. I never feel like I am being rushed out. All in all, this is a great facility.”

“I've had some bad healthcare experiences maybe I came on a really good day but the front desk was very attentive and helpful and the doctor herself was knowledgeable and friendly. She explained things in laymen's terms without feeling like she was talking down to me which is always a plus. I'm not sure how this place has bad reviews aside for the fact it's always busy and appointments can be scarce at times. Their lunch times throw me off I've been here a time or two before but I finally got in today for some poison ivy treatment and it was quick and to the point they even offered to write a drs note if I needed it for work ! I went to urgent care down the street from here in Richmond and it was a heinous experience. I'll definitely be frequenting this clinic more often. Thank you!”

“This place is amazing. Couldn't get in with my regular doctor for a sore throat. A co worker recommended going here, turned out to be great advice. The front desk was friendly and moved me right along. My nurse was adorable, personable and attentive. I only waited a few minute for the doctor and she was wonderful. Then they had me wait in the office and gave me an antibiotic which by the way, came with the one price you pay. Thank you for a great experience.”
