“I'd forgotten Houdini was from Wisconsin. Or rather settled here for a time in his youth. Anyway, the special exhibit gives a nice overview of one of Wisconsin's favorite sons and his life. No Houdini artifacts though and good reminder to this lapsed magic fan of his life and accomplishments. The Houdini themed escape room was fun. The rest was interesting too with a good overview of the Jewish immigrant experience in Milwaukee, the Jewish community and it's contributions to industry and commerce in Milwaukee and America.”

“Experience the quiet serenity that only a temple can offer; it sits on a rural hill top in Escondido Ca. Large statues located throughout the property offer areas of refuge for shelter and peace. Naturalized plants in free form from years of growth, show signs of tender care but not restrained. Remove shoes to enter the main building and receive blessings from the monk. If the opportunity arises, take part in sharing the food. The vegetarian meal satisfying and the root veggies are delicious. There are two on site parking areas best suited for compact cars. Plenty of street side parking across from the entrance.”

“Every Texan should make the pilgrimage to the birthplace of the Republic. As with the US, the founding fathers of Texas put their lives on the line when they declared Independence from Mexico. And you can see where it all went down right here! A fantastic experience, a wonderful museum and a beautiful park. Highly recommended!”
