“We had a wedding here and from start to finish it was a fantastic experience. Lisa was easy to work with quick to respond to messages and incredibly friendly and helpful during the entire process. Mya the day of assistant was exceptional, knowledgeable and helpful. She even helped make last minute flower arrangements. The wedding area was perfect and the reception space was just as great. Beautiful, clean, nice bathrooms. They have thought of everything!”

“I truly cannot say enough positive things about this museum. Dave, our guide, was beyond generous and knowledgeable. He’s been volunteering here for 30 years and came to the museum on a Friday right before Christmas to show my family around for a full two hours. We had an absolute blast. The equipment is beautiful, unique, and fascinating to look at and Dave was able to answer all of our many questions. I became a member and my family was able to tour the entire facility for $35 total for the six of us. We had an amazing time and I feel it was a wonderful bonding experience. I can’t wait to tell my friends about the museum and come back whenever I am able. This was honestly the part of Christmas vacation that I was the most excited about and it did not disappoint. Dave, thank you for your kindness and generosity today. We will never forget this experience. And thank you to all the volunteers who put so much time, passion, and dedication into the art of preserving this beautiful equipment. This is not to be missed. A real gem that deserves so much love and attention. Please visit! Bring the whole family! Preserving history is crucially important and you can tell, without a doubt, that these folks are involved purely for the love of the construction equipment and the stories within. I was really moved by Dave’s passion and love for what he does and it’s clear that the love is shared among all who participate in making this wonderful place what it is. Suggestion: call ahead to book your tour so they can find a volunteer to show you around. Membership comes with a magazine delivered to your house!”

“We had the opportunity to take my parents here today and it was more than we expected. The look on my Dad’s face when we went there was priceless. The location was bigger than we thought. The detail in the museum was unbelievable. It’s a great trip for any train enthusiast. The owners were super nice and very accommodating.”

“Went on a road trip and had the pleasure of visiting this place!!! What a great time! My boyfriend loved it!!! Learned a lot of very interesting facts about helmets and the progression of safety. It was super interesting!! The guy giving the demonstration was awesome!!! There were so many people working there full of football facts!! There is a fellow from England, I think, and he was hanging in the hall of heads. He is chock full of facts about the players. So great chatting with him! Had lunch in the cafe, great meal!!! So reasonably priced too!! We had a really wonderful time!!”

“I received a tour this afternoon by Duncan who was extremely knowledgeable and generous to take over an hour to give me a tour of the place and answer all my questions. He was an expert on the house and has clearly put a lot of work into curating the museum. I really enjoyed learning about many objects and the home’s history-there are so many cool things to learn and artifacts to see over a 200-year history. The grounds are beautiful in the middle of a busting midtown neighborhood. I was told a tornado did some damage to the gutters/soffit that will soon be repaired!”

The current owner and his daughter spent an hour with us sharing stories. It is off the beaten track but a wonderful serendipitous discovery. Highlight of the roadtrip.”

“We came here for the North Pole express and really enjoy our time. The train sets were set up and moving all around. The train ride was a neat experience. Dress warm! The train is small scale so be prepared to crouch off your an adult. They punch your ticket and you go around the track 2xs. Afterwards you can get snacks inside their warehouse filled with decorated Christmas trees. We did the ELF scavenger hunt as well. Will be a tradition from now on for our family”

You can visit inside the museum for free on Sundays early afternoon from spring to fall. You can walk around the interesting outside of the museum all year around. The inside of the original Doty House is packed wall to wall, floor to ceiling with spectacular artifacts, tools and written material all depicting the rich history of the Miami-Erie canal.”

“The library has many historical documents on local areas nor available in other places, and some originals the copies of which are available at the Schiappa Library. However, many of these precious originals are deteriorating and are in desperate need of preservation. It's a great credit to the keepers of the library that those documents are still around.”

“My son loves aviation and he wishes to be a pilot someday now since he’s 15 years of age. I like that place too because of the large structures of planes. My son wishes to be at the museum everyday but I tell him we can’t but I wish to take him sometimes more in his life while he’s still young”

“This is an excellent gallery and one of the best parts of the US Air Force Museum. This gallery contains a space section, which I didn’t have time to see, and a military section with several exciting aircraft, such as an SR-71 Blackbird—the world’s fastest plane—and the world’s only B-2 bomber on display, along with the nuclear missiles that it shoots. This gallery also contains several other fighter jets and a radar that was used to detect incoming nuclear missiles. I gave this gallery five stars because it has several enticing aircraft on display, including the world’s fastest plane and world’s only B-2.”

“Very cool. Several air force one aircraft are on display. A majority of them are open and have walkways that allow the visitors to view the interiors. The walkways through the crafts are surprisingly tight, as plexiglass walls line the aisle ways to preserve the contents. Wonderful exhibit. Be sure to arrive with plenty of time, as you may find yourself burning several hours and not even he halfway through all of the exhibits.”

Address: 1100 Spaatz St, Riverside, OH 45433, USA
“Awesome. I'm not an airplane buff, but this place was great. It is much better than I expected. The planes are massive. It is wheelchair accessible. Friendly staff. Admission cost is by donation from $0-whatever you want. Planes, jets, rockets, helicopters, bombs, bombers, history, simulators, multiple former Air Force Ones, the least goes on and on. Suggest you plan to spend a minimum of 4 hours. The museum is spaced out over four (4) airplane hangers. 100% indoor. There is a Cafe upstairs with a small selection of hot food, chips, drinks, pre-made sandwiches. This is basically above the gift shop. There is also a smaller snack shop upstairs near the rockets. Much smaller.”

“Our guide, Eric, was very knowledgeable about the history of the home and surrounding areas and all the home's prior residents. He had interesting anecdotes and cheerfully answered our many questions. The home itself had alot of items that were original and you could get up close to most of them for a good look. We were on the last tour of the day, but we were not rushed along and felt like Eric would have answered questions for alot longer. He clearly loves sharing this home's history. The tour was great for adults but probably not very exciting for children under 12.”
