“Very cute little place. We stopped in on our way from Davis OK to Waco TX so the kids could stretch their legs. It was perfect for them. The 12 year old got bored after 30 mins but the 3 and 8 year old didn't want to leave. It's all open but small enough you can sit and relax and they can play within eyes view. Perfect stop! And only $5/person! Score!”

“What a great addition to the other museums in the area that interpret the local area. I learned so much about some of the local boat makers and was able to see some of their work. They have some benches around the small museum, however, I it would be more helpful to have them at the stations where they have videos. As someone with limited mobility and walk with a walker, it was a challenge to make it around the museum.”

“I ABSOLUTELY Loved it!!! If you enjoy rocks and crystals and petrified wood, you must go. I am little obsessed with my crystals and wish I had made time to go sooner... All of the specimens here were amazing. The info that goes along with them..fascinating. At first I felt a little guilty about going alone, but nobody I know has my deep fascination and I know it would have been frustrating had I needed to rush because of bored friends/family. If you have youngsters that enjoy rocks, take them. It is very family friendly with special things to do to keep them interested and learning. The grounds are beautiful. Take a picnic on a lovely spring day!!! I left knowing so much more than I did before and I got to see the biggest thunder egg ever!!! The gift shop was stocked with specimens, games, jewelry and other cool things that you may be able to order online, but why when you can get them right there!”

“What a great museum! We took our kids, 6 & 4 years old the other day. Pay attention to the hours because we went on Tues and that's the only day they're closed. But when we went back we had a nice time! There were a lot of interactive displays to keep the kids entertained! Their favorite was looking out the periscope and swinging through the doorway! I loved learning about the dolphins and sea lions too! We will definitely be returning!”

“Good place for birds and people. I like to walk there about once a month. If you can time a walk for high tide, you'll see more fish, seals, and sea lions. Strollers ok and the part of the walk that is wooded is wheelchair accessible. No bathrooms out on trail so make your kids go before.”

“A recent addition to the over 100 year old National Museum of the U.S. Navy, the Cold War Gallery is an excellent place to visit. It is a little over a block away and provides updates to it's parent museum down the street, starting, as the name indicates, with the advent of the Cold War shortly after the end of World War II. Please see my YouTube channel for video Subrina W my world”

“Had a wonderful time visiting the center. It would have been better on a cooler day or maybe earlier in the morning. The kids did not enjoy the zoo part in the heat and the animals were smart staying inside. Was impressed with the amount of butterflies they had. Lots of play areas for kids to enjoy. The aquarium section had a good variety of fish and other animals to see. The dinosaur area was okay but wasn't a highlight. Pretty basic. Bonus we got to see the baby red panda they had in the hospital building. It was so adorable.”

“We were met by a lovely woman. She welcomed us in and let us explore the home. Filled with different artifacts of the surrounding area donated by many and some original to the home. Quaint and the cost of admission is free (with donations request). I recommend asking to see the garage. The kitchen was also neat!”

“It’s a small but entertaining place for little kids (I would say especially for 7 and under age group). Any older may be bored pretty quickly. The 1st floor had a play town set up on one side (fire truck, kitchen area, grocery store area and mechanics area). The the other side had a indoor playground and large wooden train track set-up, the best thing my kids enjoyed for quite some time were these air tunnels where you funnel small colored handkerchiefs through. The 2nd floor, was definitely for the slightly older kids with all the cool science stations and a larger area for exploring and hands on activities. All area seemed to be working and clean and sorted nicely. There was no food/cafe but they had vending machines and an area to sit and eat if you bring your own. It was a little pricey for what it is but all in all my kids enjoyed it! We stayed about 2-3 hrs.”

“After reading some reviews, we were hesitant to visit this museum. The wax figures weren’t the best compared to some we’ve visited here in the U.S. and Europe, and the place could use plenty of updates, but we were glad we did go because it is full of Niagara history. A couple of interesting exhibits show notable people that have visited, and the daredevils who have either succeeded or failed to conquer the falls. A good place to visit with your family.”

“The owner finds New England (and some Canadian) artisans and sells their unique, handmade works. So many beautiful, whimsical, and creative pieces. Not only is it a historic building to visit, it's a great place to find one of a kind treasures.”

“We visited for a service project, and spent some time helping to do some lawnscaping. While doing it, we had the chance to look around the grounds, and it is a beautiful place! There is a muesuem, with some cool maps and a number of interesting things to look at. It is the best place that I've seen to learn about the history of Oakland County. I have to think, with all this virtual school and school from home, that this would be an outstanding place to take the kids for half a day and learn about our past.”

“Truly a gem of an aviation museum a short walk away from Tulsa International airport. Not very well known, but so very worth the visit. Small but interesting gift shop. The office personnel down stairs will open up the museum upstairs and it's a self guided tour through many well documented display case. Entire history of women's aviation is covered. A must visit stop for all history buffs and aviation enthusiast”

“A truly unique experience. Visitors have the freedom to touch and crawl through nearly all areas of the dwellings. Interesting descriptions are posted throughout. The gift shop is large and full of interesting finds. This would probably be about a two maybe three hour adventure if sometime is bent in the gift shop. The on-site museum is small but interesting and adds to the educational component. It is certainly worth a visit with admission costs very reasonable.”

“We hosted our 70-person wedding reception at this beautiful little museum. What a gorgeous piece of history. The grounds surrounding the building are immaculate, Mary (the coordinator) was so easy to work with and everything was so smooth from day one with this venue. I HIGHLY recommend considering them for your wedding reception or any other event for that matter. They do also offer space for a ceremony if that is something you are interested in. We were married in a chapel so opted out of this, but I would have definitely had our ceremony on-site as well if we did not already make plans elsewhere. Thank you Mary and team for all of your help making our day so special! ”

“I stopped here on a whim, and I'm so glad that I did! The collection of dollhouses and toys is exquisitely detailed and extensive for such a small space. My kids (1 and 3) were absolutely fascinated with everything. There was even a little play area with a dollhouse that they could play with. This was exactly the roadtrip stop that we desperately needed on a cold afternoon.”
