“Delightful experience at this trendy upscale venue. Service was exceptional - Jessica is a real pro and very welcoming. All team members seemed glad to be there which really added to the atmosphere. Hard floors, brick walls, and metal ceiling make it a bit loud for quiet conversation, but it does make for an upbeat vibe. Menu is modest in its number of entree options, but there's also a good assortment of apps and burgers to choose from. We enjoyed a delicious, and expertly prepared, Filet Mignon sitting on top of a mountain of creamy mashed potatoes, garnished with roasted root vegetables, and all of it sitting in just the right amount of a savory red wine reduction. Another diner enjoyed smoked salmon linguini which was beautifully presented and very tasty. The salmon was extra smokey and nicely balanced out by the pasta. Drinks and desert were also very good. Not inexpensive, but quality food and service of this caliber rarely is. We'll be back.”

“This place just opened in the plaza next to seven eleven on mission. I believe it’s part of a chain of taco fast casual restaurants. There’s plenty of parking in there lot outside and there is also some outside seating set up under a tent. When you walk in there is cool music playing and neon lights by the restroom. You can see the cooks behind a glass wall putting together all the tacos and burritos from fresh ingredients. Their menu is fairly limited but it has all the standards. Also an extensive selection of juices and drinks. I got a Horchata that was really good and it was huge. They do not serve any alcohol . Just juices and bottles of soda. Tacos were all really good and we got them with everything on them. I will say we got the chicken and the carne Asada and both were pretty spicy. I like spicy so I enjoyed them but if you aren’t a spicy person maybe get the salsa on the side. Great addition to the neighborhood. Will be back for sure.”

“Burger and impossible burgers were good. Milkshake was quite tasty. The fries are in different containers and a lot less now. They also tasted crisper/more overcooked than normal. The staff really needs to work on working together. Our milkshakes were made and finished, sitting to the side before our food was even cooked. Then our food and milkshakes were done before the fries were so just sat there too getting cold/melting. We also had to repeat our order to 3 people. It has also gotten super expensive. We paid over $47 for 2 burgers, 2 fries, and 2 shakes.”

So far, out of 3 visits, all between 3:30 am and 4 am, heading to work, kiosks are down and food can not be made or sold. The store is dirty and not stocked well at all. This is a brand new store and chain to the area. Is it lack of care or employees? Who knows As an edit to this review, I stopped this morning for gas, and decided to give the food another chance. 4 am. Very clean this visit. Very well stocked, and I ordered food via the kiosk. “Very cool small town bar. Stopped in to check it out because I heard they have gizzards. Unfortunately, they were out but offered chicken hearts as a substitute. Although, I like chicken hearts I doubted I could eat a basket of them and passed. Instead, I had chicken wings, fries, onion petals, broccoli and bacon cheese bites, and breaded mushrooms. It was some of the best bar food I've had in a long time. I also enjoyed some cold Miller Lites to wash it all down. Nothing fancy about the atmosphere, but I think that's one of the things that makes the place. Service was outstanding! I didn't catch the lady's name but she was hustling and taking care of everyone. I'm certain this isn't the last time I'll be there. Check it out! UPDATE: I made a return trip to try the gizzards. They're a no for me. I prefer mine crisp with a crunch or snap when I bite into them. These were more like they were pre-cooked to tenderize them and then battered and deep fried. They're like they have at 9 Mile Restaurant, which obviously I didn't like either.”

“Sometimes you just stumble upon a place by complete accident when you aren't in a hurry to get home. We had gone to a distillery on the way home. The lady told us about a local rodeo that had food trucks. We went. My food truck server was wearing a hat from here. I inquired what it was and where it was. It was on our route home. We stopped. Grandslam Homerun. Truly a breathtaking view of the river and just a beautiful building. We had beer that was good. They were having an oyster roast. One of my relatives went for it and ate his weight in roasted oysters. If you are in Elizabeth City you really need to make this place a stop”
