“Always a fun place to go. The food is served family style and is delicious. Come hungry for sure because they give you loads of food. You choose your chicken and the sides are bottomless. A young waitress came out, we asked if they were open and she said yes sit anywhere My husband speaks Spanish so had no trouble giving her our orders ( I got the impression she wasn't quite understanding my request for no sour cream) We got our food quickly . My Torta was fine but they left the beans off I think they assumed I didn't want those either No big deal. Nice mix of music playing but pretty loud for that early.( Later there is dancing.) Overall good experience but this is more a bar that serves food The owner also has a taco truck out front all day as this place opens at 5. ( Our motel was nearby and we noticed Saturday night they were packed )”

The restaurant closes at 20:00 & as I was putting my food into the box I said, "o.k. just one more bite!" Our server, thoughtfully and playfully eyed me and asked, "would you like a plastic fork?" I said, "yes please!" And laughed. So, she was attentive and full of smiles. The food was exquisite!! I will be going back. Authentic flavors and fresh ingredients! Can't be beat. Large portions as well. I ate from my entrée three separate times. I actually ate some a little while ago for breakfast! 😋😋 i ordered the basil fried rice. It contained onions, bell peppers, and covered in a sweet soy sauce. I forgot what my date ordered but it was a noodle based dish. There is a one toilet unisex bathroom. For parents: there is NOT a changing table inside the restroom. The restroom was clean, it has a lovely large mirror in it though 😍. I enjoyed my cozy romantic dinner under the stoic gazes of the Thai Buddhas.”

“I was craving for some “Mayi Moulin” & my husband mentioned for me to try the new Haitian restaurant on Front St. When I reached at Soumie’s outside’s appearance looks real nice. Entering, it was still a buffet style, nice soft Haitian music playing, like the fact it was not dark. The lady welcomed me nicely. Inside was clean and neat. When I reached home, they did not disappoint me at all. The portion of the meal was fair. The first taste of that “Mayi Moulin” took me back to Haiti 🇭🇹 with a quickness. I can’t wait to see what else Soumie has planned. One thing, Soumie definitely has my vote and I will be returning. “We held an axe throwing/grad party there. A fantastic setup, staff was super friendly and accommodating. Adam helped us book the event. Easy to work with, quick replies and accommodating! Axe throwing Coach Justin was helpful, friendly and encouraging. He was a ton of fun! Michael was the manager on duty and bar tender, attentive, quick and friendly. Price was more than fair, we had a group of 40 and had a blast! We will definitely be back and give them our business. Everyone in our group raved about how much fun they had and the great food and setup. Set up was great! See pics, we had a section to ourselves and didn't have to pay a room fee or forced into a catering menu. The food portions were big and accommodated as advertised!”
