“We were out in the area finishing a job today and thought we would check out Labadie's antique shops and the distillery. It took us so long to get there that we were starving! We had cool dog Minnie with us so we had to find a patio where she could hang with us. Coal Fire was perfect! The day was somewhat cool still so we found the shade and ordered beers and lunch. My wife had the fried chicken dinner and I had the Stackhouse Burger. Minnie had some of my fries, pulled pork and burger. They were so good to Minnie - she could have ordered her own dinner, too, which is very nice. Excellent overall.”

“Driving by and saw a Tour Bus out front so figured it had to be good. This may not be for everyone as it is a farm with a restaurant and " Chicks and ducks....scurry" around the outside dining tables. Didn't see any goats but the sign says they can't be trusted. I like critters so it enhanced the experience. The good news is that the Hawaiian BBQ chicken breasts were the best I have ever tasted. Not tangy but perfectly sweet, complex and delicious. Rice was fantastic and the Hawaiian macaroni salad was a perfect match. The serving size is humongous 3 meals worth for me. It would take a big man to eat it all in one sitting. I know you guys are out there, but the rest of us will leave with a doggie bag. If you have Christian Phobia you may not enjoy "The writing on the wall"”

I'm assuming it was cooked enough through the conveyor and they pulled it slightly early. Still great pizza but could have been better”

“How do you say beyond fantastic? This place makes me want to move to the area just so I can eat here all the time! Mainly on-road parking, but we found a few nearby parking lot areas to put our truck and pontoon. Fun menu with so many options it took the 6 of us quite a while to pick! We got the pulled pork pile, a pulled pork sandwich, the ribs, a double cheeseburger and a Cobb salad. Only disappointment out of all of that was the Cobb salad, it said it was a mixture of greens but was sadly just iceberg lettuce. We all left stuffed to the gills! Rolls were delicious. Sides were amazing. Portions were huge, and prices were very reasonable. Decor throughout the restaurant created a fun, nostalgic atmosphere, and our service was top notch! The pie and dessert list was endless, but none of us had room for it. We are definitely keeping this one on the radar for any future trips to southern IL. Thanks for making the last meal on our 8 day vacation by far the best!!”

Best Choice offers the most budget-friendly pricing. The service is good, and unless you are there on a Friday night, the waiting time (after you place your order) is basically non-existent. There is a small dine-in area, but the majority of customers choose the pick-up option. The restaurant also delivers, by its own drivers or through delivery apps, such as GrubHub.
