“Authentic Afghan food and probably the best in the San Francisco Bay Area by far. A business associate brought us here for dinner and we had the Bolani filled with potatoes & one with Leeks as appetizers. They were not only tasty but most importantly not greasy. For the main entrees we had the Kabuli rice Which is rice with shredded carrots and raisins. I’m not a rice fan so the fact I went for a 3rd portion is incredible in itself. The next entree was a platter of kebabs, Which included the grilled Chicken Tikka. The Beef Kebab (Grilled sirloin) again not something I go for at Afghan/Persian restaurants but, this was so soft I could cut with my fork. The next grilled meat was like a Persian Koobedieh or Kafta kebab but with flavor and not bland. The last meat was a Chapli Kebab which is a flattened beef kebab that was also on the Money. Even the green chutney was not too spicy. I have eaten at Afghan restaurants in London, NYC & the Bay Area and can truly say I have found my new favorite to go for Afghan food.”

“What can I say, I love Hibachi! I usually enjoy the Shrimp Hibachi, but my daughter loves the Chicken & Shrimp Hibachi! If I'm being honest, usually the chicken is a little on the dry side for my taste, and that is not just at this hibachi establishment! This is something honestly, I can eat several times a week - I love Hibachi!!! I love that I don't have to feel guilty after decouring my food! I add one container of Ginger sauce and one container of white sauce, (or what we affectionately call "Yum sauce"), to my dish for an absolute treat! If I had to say anything bad about this establishment, it will be that they just don't give you enough food! I feel they could give you a little bit more veggies and maybe just a few more shrimp to make your plate really look full! But other than that, the food here is great! The staff is kind! And people of all backgrounds sit, gather and eat! If you are ever near Hibachi 88, stop in and enjoy! And tell them Kristi sent you!😇 Seriously, they won't know who I am!🤣 I just like the way that sounds! 😂”

“Wow! This little ice cream parlor has amazing ice cream and shaved ice! It’s a little shop, the decor goes perfectly with the ghost town. Their caramel and coffee ice cream was really good! I didn’t know shaved ice was so good until I tried the prickly pear one! Ask for prickly pear with a little bit of lime. They have clean restrooms. The staff is very nice and helpful. I had the Chicken and gravy with Mac and cheese Peach cobbler and Lemonade. The Chicken and gravy we're okay and the Mac and cheese could use some seasoning BUT...That Peach cobbler...I almost had to go back for another dish straight up DELICIOUS!!! Definitely Homemade. PERFECT!!! The Lemonade, I mean the Fresh Squeezed Lemonade was Awesome. Definitely will be returning to Mary's Diner the next time I'm in Town. P.S. With a couple of seasoning packets with Me😉.”

They had a variety of kid friendly options (yeah, our kid had to have the chicken nuggets with rice). My husband had the quesabirrias. If you have never had them they are fantastic. It is a tortilla with shredded beef tons of cheese. Fried on both side. You dip it in yummy sauce! I had the fried rolled tacos (flautas) the ground beef had tons of flavor and seasonings. The beans were fresh and had great flavor. The rice was very good. Overall amazing food. I highly recommend if you love great food with amazing flavors!”
