“This place is legit. Authentic Mexican food in a small family run restaurant with an extensive menu. I was greeted as soon as I stepped through the door. Not only is the food satisfying, but the service is some of the most friendly and attentive service I’ve come across in a long time. It’s truly that local vibe we all want. “It was a warm Monday afternoon. We wanted to eat outdoors and knew Nicks was the spot. They have a prime location on gtown waterfront and have a huge space both inside and out, along with a nice bar area outside with sofa seating. Was able to get seats outside facing the waterfront. Service was great, had someone come to us often. The food is good but very expensive. It was $150 for both of us without any alcohol. You pay for being in Georgetown, waterfront, and post pandemic prices.”

“Absolutely love it! Arthur Solomon was obviously an absolute genius, a phenomenal artist in so many different mediums & techniques and a brilliant businessman. I was cycle touring through the area and saw a nondescript sign for "Solomon's Castle". On a whim, I decided to detour and check out the"aluminum castle". There was so much more than just an aluminum castle 🏰. When I arrived onto the property, I met the late Arthur Solomon's daughter, and she gave me permission to plug my gear in for recharging whilst touring the grounds and the castle. I didn't realize until later that she was his daughter, she was so humble I thought she just worked there. Stained glass windows, wooden artworks, a wooden ship that houses a restaurant, and innumerable other treasures all hand made by Arthur Solomon. And the property is still run by his family. What a tribute to a legendary man. The only thing missing, is not being able to meet the man himself, as he sadly passed away in 2016 at the age of 81. How I would have loved to have been apprenticed to a genius of that caliber. 'I make things. Arthur Sanford Solomon".”

I ordered and PAID for a steak burrito but got ground beef instead (didn't know til I was already home, which sucks) so I can't speak on the steak but the ground beef burrito was ok. The flavor is your basic taco seasoning and all the fixings inside were decent (guac, Pico, sour cream, onion, cilantro, pinto beans and rice). The sauces both red and green were lacking in spice. Like zero spice but it had notes of garlic. All in all, I'd probably come back and try it again but just make sure I get the correct order.”

I ordered online delivery, and apparently delivery for this Marcos, ends at 11:30, and I missed that (my typical self 🙃), so I called and told them that I didn't have a way out there to get it, and then decided that I could probably walk down, and get my son's car, to drive out there. The man on the phone was SUPER nice, and he made the choice to find someone to bring it to me, so that I didn't have to try and get out there. Then, the guy that delivered it, was SUPER nice, as well. I did leave a tip from my card, but this is one of those moments where I wish I had had, cash on hand, to give him another tip! I work in a restaurant, and I know how frustrating these types of situations can be, but I was treated with respect and ultimate kindness, which makes me want to go above and beyond for our own customers. The place it could really use some improvement is the wait staff. They can be very unprofessional, forgetful, even negligent at times.
