“The previous location and staff were the worst, but the new location, which is a brand new building and certified staff for this school year of 2024, has turned around for the better. My son has never shown such a positive outlook about school and has been more vocalized about the positive reinforcement he is getting in his class. His behavior at home has increased for the better as well. We couldn't have made a better choice in enrolling our child here.”

“First I must give praise to God for connecting us with Dr. Marena. The curriculum is structured to support children to excel academically, and socially. However I love that Dr. Marena and her staff recognizes children excel in different ways to be successful. The environment is positive, encourage spiritual growth, staff provides positive reinforcement, and awesome communication with parents. My grandson enjoys going and loves wearing his uniform😊. I appreciate the diversity and welcoming environment.”

“My kids could not be happier with the services provided by Rhythmz, Inc. My daughter takes dance classes and lessons on multiple instruments. My son takes music lessons and volunteers with Rhythmz. Great place for all ages, especially kids.”

“My daughters are almost 2&3 and have been attending Gymboree since 6 months old. It is definitely their favorite place to be and they look forward to going each week. It is always super clean and just an overall great atmosphere. Teachers are great. The owners Vinny and Michele are so kind and caring. I am so grateful my kids have a safe place to play, learn and make friends!”

“@Mary Jane - It breaks my heart to read your post. I'm from the class of 2000 - the 1st class to go all the way through Connally from grade 9 to grade 12. So...my first day at Connally was EVERYONE'S first day at Connally because we were its first students...ever! :-) Actually, all 4 years that I attended CHS they were still building onto it. The staff, administration, teachers AND students all loved our new school (it was SO shiny and new)! We all took pride in it and babies it because we were all about "setting traditions." That is what we all tried to do...together! We knew that we were making decisions for generations to come so we thought really hard about them and took great pride in that. My years as a student at CHS were amazing...the best four years of my life! The teachers were awesome! Each grade level had its own principle and we all loved ours!!!! -Mr. Littlefield. During Saturday detentions he had the student out cleaning up campus. I just look back and wonder if there is anything we could have done different to better pass the torch. Is there some way we could have shown the incoming class what an awesome gift we were giving them...one the would have loved, been proud to be a part of and babied like we did. Of course there will always be students who don't share the enthusiasm and maybe even do things to sabotage the hard work of others. But they are a select few who are greatly outnumbered. I just know that feeling when that new car smell is gone and I hate that that is what our beautiful Connally High School smells like now. Such a shame that the leaders we had while I was there were not able to stay longer to rally you all like they did us. I understand, especially now that I'm an adult, that there are a lot more pressing matters in a teenagers life than a little graffiti here or there, or that they have better things...more fun things to do than try and make something that's seems so far gone like the school better and great again...especially when you all didn't get to see CHS in her glory days. Just know that a little elbow grease, some school spirit and a nice dose of Big Ol' Texas pride can make what is old new again. The luster, the color being a little brighter, the sense of unity that can become real between two separate groups when working towards the same goal, even the warm tinglies in your gut when you're when you start to make real progress...those things will come on their own. But only you...1 single human being can start a movement. So I hope you can believe that what seems impossible can easily be achieved...if you take a stand. Every movement begins with one person making the decision to act choosing to just talk. Will that person be you? I'll tell you what I know is absolutely certain no matter what: after this is real life...and it's NOTHING like what you see on TV. Making your mark among your peers, your community, your nation, your world...that all starts now...right where you are. So I say, why not set yourself apart now. Why not use the stars that twinkle in your young innocent eyes, your unjaded perseverance and hormone fueled confidence to do something great. Something for yourself, for your fellow student, for your baby brother when he gets there, for generations to come after you...maybe even a little for me ;-) You are about to venture out into unknown territory unsupervised and completely responsible for yourself and what you become. Set the tone. Set yourself up for success in life and maybe even surprise yourself a little when you see what your actually capable of...greatness. God bless and best wishes to you. I only want what was amazing to me to be amazing for you. Oh and BTW...your Mom IS right ;) Shannon M. Gunckel CHS Class of 2000 GO COUGARS!!!”

“I'm finishing up my senior year, this place was great place. I was bullied at my last school, this school was a complete turn around from my last school. The staff is very helpful and kind, and the building is kept to a high standard of cleanliness. The football program is outstanding, and it is considered a bad year if the school looses 3 games out of 9, not including playoffs. I also was given way more opportunity than my old school. If you are thinking of bringing your kid here, it would be a bad idea if you didn't”

“If you want a school that will keep your child safe with doors that stay locked during school hours and teachers who take time to understand your children this is the one! I’ve never seen my son open up to any of his previous daycares the way he has with this one. The teachers are so understanding and they understand exactly how to handle…sometimes difficult children by acknowledging their emotions. Finding this place was a blessing! ❤️”

“North Hi Mount is an incredible school full of love, parent involvement, and great teachers. The children are taught personal integrity and respect and a love of learning. The school is literally being transformed by a brand new PTA and a wave of new homes and owners in this highly sought-after Cultural District neighborhood. You see parents now bringing their children to the neighborhood school rather than shipping their kids off to the private schools across town. The school has fall festivals, fund-raisers, fitness nights, daddy-donut-days, holiday parties, career days and field trips to the theatre. The school itself is full of charm and character that has been restored to it's glory of the 1930s when it was built. The previous review was probably accurate a few years back, but as of Spring 2014...it's an exciting, encouraging, and wonderful place to send your kids!”

“Grace has been such a blessing to my family! The family atmosphere is perfect for my kiddos! This atmosphere is created by the amazing teachers and staff. I can't say enough about how the teachers go above and beyond. They provided meals for my family when we had our baby!!! As a former teacher, I have been impressed with the quality of education--the topics covered, the creative and diverse methods, and the reasonable amount of work. I'd recommend this school to any family.”

“We really appreciate the experience we had with Captain Tom. He knows his stuff and makes sure you enjoy yourselves. My boyfriend is scuba certified but not me. We felt safe with Captain Tom and got to see a lot. I couldn't agree more with the other positive reviews that say it better than I have. We would happy to go out with him again sometime!”

“I really enjoyed the Alice In Wonderland themed fashion show. VIP ticket buyers were treated to cupcakes, apple juice in Champaign glasses and finger sandwiches. They also enjoyed floor seating close to the runway in the Long Beach College's gym. The exciting show ran smoothly. Although some speeches could have been shorter. The high point for me was seeing the young fashion designers and their works in action.”

“I love Sierra Vista. Middle school is unbelievably awesome. Great academics, teachers, and kids. Music is phenomenal too. I am in the band and a school from China has requested to play with us because we have an excellent reputation. Also, the teachers are experienced and there are so many memories there!”
