“My dog got xylitol poisoning. Within minutes of entering VEG with her, the techs were treating her. They were efficient, knowledgeable, and calm. The Dr worked hard making a plan that led my dog to recover. The front staff member was kind and helpful with my children that I had with me. The facility was clean and they allowed us to stay with our dog the whole time she was being treated. “Dr. Bloom and his staff were amazing. After Dr. Bloom saw me make a post on social media regarding my puppy needing dental work, he reached out to me. The kindness of this doctor is unmatched. He took the time out from over his weekend to calm a dog mom and dad after hearing some outrageous prices for the removal of baby teeth. His bedside manner and knowledge truly is unmatched. He made me feel comfortable that he wasn't pushing us to get our dog neutered either, which we were hit with numerous times. He asked us to come for a consult and I immediately felt at ease. Even at the consult they offered to clip my dog's nails complimentary. Our dog is less than 5 pounds and his knowledge of all the animals was seen in the array of them that were there. From speaking with other parents, they loved him and were going for years. On the day of the surgery he made sure to come and see me as we dropped off our puppy, Teddy, to calm a worried mama. He was even the one who called me personally to let me know how the procedure went. He offered a complimentary recheck following as well. There are not enough great things to say. Although a 30 minute ride from where we are, we have decided to continue using his practice in the future. Our animals are a member of our family and Dr. Bloom truly understands that.”

I remain concerned that so many vets still use pesticides on dogs and all the products end up in the dump eventually. It seems like we need an upgrade in what is offered through various product chains and the costs being tossed at clients. I think it adds to dogs being returned to the shelter because of the costs to just get basic care for a shot, a stool sample or teeth cleaning.”

“One of the Seneca staff saved my miniature schnauzer Mellie when she got loose from the yard after the storms. This is why I switched vets. Seneca staff make it easy to schedule appointments, let me stay in the room with my girls while they were getting shots and blood drawn, and the vet techs spoiled my girls with pets to keep them calm. Dr. Brinks is very personable and gives me lots of detailed info and options for the care of my girls. Results from bloodwork came back super quick! I'm glad I made the switch to Seneca!”

I find them to be very affordable too. We recently had to put down one of our older dogs, and whitstone animal hospital was so caring towards us. “In 2009, we welcomed the latest addition to our family, a 2 year old Great Dane named Shrek. Without a family veterinarian at that time, we asked everyone we knew with a pet for referrals. My uncle, having trusted Dr Handel with the health of his Rottweilers, and other pets for years, strongly recommended only Palomar Animal Hospital. Since our first appointment, the entire staff has been nothing short of amazing. I am now the one telling everyone I know about PAH, and how awesome they are. From day one with Shrek to day 3,256 when we sadly had to say goodbye to him, everyone at PAH was so caring and helpful, it was like they shared the same love for our "youngest boy". Dr Handel, Dr Knox, Dr Nissen and every single member of their team have been such an important part of our wonderful years with Shrek. I credit them with the extra years of healthy, happy life we shared with him. To see a Great Dane of nearly 11 years old acting just as healthy as 2 years old, is impressive to anyone who knows the breed. Please, do yourself and your pet a favor, and at least meet the Palomar Animal Hospital family, and I am confident you will feel the same as we do about them.”

“Recommended. This vet is a one-vet operation out of a converted house. There are about four techs/office staff accompanying Dr. Ashley. He's a fine vet who shot us straight about our dog's health and our options. I'll admit we were here with an end-of-life dog, and Dr. Ashley and his staff were very gracious and compassionate with us as we bid farewell to our pooch. The building is behind C&C Pharmacy; you drive through the pharmacy's parking lot to get to the vet. We were there on a Saturday, and it was very busy. The waiting room only had six seats, and there were about four dogs waiting to be seen (a few cats, too). It may not be as busy during the week. Dr. Ashley's been a vet for almost forty years. He knows his stuff. The facility may not be the newest or fanciest, but they do care for animals, and he seems to know his stuff. They're busy, and they may not have the latest state-of-the-art facility, but they did a lot of right by us at a very difficult time. We are grateful.”

“I cannot say enough about this place!!! We have two kangaroos and fortunately They are very robust animals that rarely get sick. However, when they do, it is never a good thing and most often fatal. both of my kangaroos got very ill with all kinds of issues looking like they probably again would not make it because of doctor Dreco and her willingness to cooperate with other vets across the country tat may have more experience dealing in this breed, as well as her own research she did on her own accord not only is the little one being discharged today but his older brother turned the corner late last night and came hopping out of his shed. I can't explain the amount of love and caring that comes out of these people in the way they handle their animals and the people involved.”
