I was fully expecting something like this to take over 2 weeks, but my car arrived within 5 days exactly where I needed it to go. The entire process was very official. I dropped off my car at a truck/shipping port in SD and watched it get loaded onto the car transport truck, and then I picked it up at a gated truck lot/ shipping port in Illinois. “I was looking for a handicap van for a reasonable price to drive elderly veterans around and I found one at United. I contacted them and they are usually closed on Saturdays, but they will take appointments if you schedule one. Arrived on time, was met by one of their salesman, forgot the gentleman's name but he appeared to still be in high school. Although young looking, he was very knowledgeable and actually a very good salesperson, not pushy at all like most. I inspected the vehicle, took it for a test drive, then settled on a final price. I purchased the vehicle, received the keys and all the paperwork including temp tag, then picked it up the next day after hours. Entire transaction was very smooth and non stressful. Now I read some of the negative reviews, but what people must realize, is that an automobile is comprised or over 1k components, which any one of them can fail at any time. United's prices seem to be much lower than most other places, so you need to realize that you are not purchasing a certified pre owned vehicle that went through a 100 point inspection and has a warranty. I am an experienced mechanic so I pretty much know what to look out for before I purchase a vehicle plus I always research a specific vehicle before I go looking for one. I would suggest that if you are not a mechanic, then you do your research on the model you are interested in and bring along someone who knows what defects to look for. Also, they do not appear to highly detail there vehicles which usually covers up any defects. What you see, is what you get. Although they share a building with an automotive repair shop, it appears that the used car dealership is not associated with them”
