“My family and I had been through so much and the last thing we thought we’d ever have to do is pick out my sisters burial site; we had gone to a cemetery that all they seemed to care about was price and making sure we picked them. My family left feeling worse than ever; the funeral home told us about Hill Country Memorial Cemetery and immediately when we arrived we were greeted by the owner and he had been working in the cemetery so he apologized for his appearance. He informed us usually his wife greets us, but she was absent that day. He showed us around and we instantly knew this was the best place to bury my sister. They cared about my family and didn’t treat us like another dollar sign. Like other reviews I too had an encounter with a groundskeeper, however he was very pleasant. I went to visit my sister one day and just stood there staring at her grave crying and lost. He came up to me, stood next to me, and apologized for my loss and let me just tell him about her and cry. He let me take my time, and informed me I was parked where I wasn’t supposed to, but let me take my time before I moved my vehicle. You get a sense of peacefulness and I couldn’t be happier with where we chose to have my sisters final resting place.”
