After unexpectedly losing my husband, I was fortunate to work with Darrell Howe Mortuary for everything. The people there are welcoming, sympathetic and incredibly knowledgeable about everything. The price was very fair and I felt very good about the entire process. They handled the cremation, the service, the reception and 2 honor guards without any drama and with complete professionalism. They never overwhelmed me which was really appreciated. They listened to every request and suggested things I had never thought of. One example is I couldn't take many of the flower arrangements with me and they arranged for a service that picks up the extra, makes new bouquets and delivers them to nursing home residents. How incredible is that! I was very happy with Darrell Howe and recommend that you use them in your time of sorrow. They help smooth the process so you can grieve and not have to worry about all the details.”

“This is the second time I've had first hand dealings with Long & Son. First was my Step-moms passing 2.5 years ago and a week ago (11/10) for the homegoing service of my Dad. I could not have imagined a more compassionate, caring and professional group. From the very first call, Palmer Dupree was there for me and my family. As I think back, he was there every step of the way for my mom's passing as well. When you lose a loved one, your emotions are literally all over the place. When we needed time to think, time was given. Need time to cry, time is given. You don't understand, things are explained. You still don't understand and decide to call back later that night, the call was forwarded and Mr. Dupree and he called me back. I don't know how they stand in price comparison. I never compared them to anyone else because I know they would deliver what me and my family needed. Why would I sacrifice service to save a few dollars. Worked with Mr Phillip Peevey at Niday Funeral Home at 6777 Fairmont Parkway in Pasadena, Tx and came up with a very affordable funeral package for my mom’s funeral. What a pleasure it was to work with him and all the other employees at Niday. We highly recommend Niday for all funeral services. They are honest and open with you up front and are the most reasonable in the Pasadena/Deer Park/LaPorte/Clear Lake area. Get prices from various places and you will see for yourself that they are the cheapest but let very up scale in all the services they provide. We will definitely do business with them again!
