“This place is great with a few caveats. First, the running track is at a 30° incline towards the center. I kept feeling like I was going to fall onto the basketball court. Second, the rock climbing wall has parts that snap or fall off regularly. Other than those two things, it's a pretty good gym. The staff are all very nice and helpful.”

The owners, Jamie & Layne are a husband & wife duo that have transformed their Pasadena home garage into a beautiful, full-functioning gym. They've been a game changing alternative to public gyms for me, especially during covid, as I no longer have to deal with crowds, germs, and long wait times. Their equipment is new, clean, and it's clear from the moment you step foot in their space that they take great pride in offering a high-quality experience to their clients. During my workouts, Layne pushes me just enough so that I walk away feeling my best. She actively listens to my needs and tailors our workouts to specifically target those areas, throwing in fun new exercises along the way to keep things interesting. I've also come to learn that she's an amazing baker, so I love chatting about nutrition and healthy recipes with her after workouts. I really can't say enough great things about Vita Cors, their energy is incredibly welcoming, they're flexible with their hours (great for the working moms), and they'll meet you at your level no matter where you're starting from. Don't get me wrong - those options can be great, but Taylor Training Systems is different. This is a place where you can come and feel home. You can walk away for an hour and focus on YOU. Surrounded not only by regular people who are all just trying to be better each day, but supported by a coaching team that genuinely cares with everything they have. Jeremy, Nick and the other coaches are great in that they are SO approachable. There are no dumb questions. There are no stigmas. The programming is intentional and they LOVE to tell you why you are doing something and why it is important. This has changed my mindset from the goal being such an intense workout that I am crawling out the door after, and it is so refreshing. Plus all the value adds like the podcast, nutrition help, etc. etc. So grateful for this space and most of all these people.”

I couldn’t wait to write this review because this is definitely one of the nicest boxes I’ve been too. They have a strong community atmosphere and an extremely organized gym. They allowed us to bring our dog Toby to hang out in the back (well-behaved dogs welcome upon request I think). We messaged the owner on Facebook to find out about the covid policies. He responded immediately and reserved our spots on the same day. We will definitely be back to drop in when we come back to visit.”
