“This was my first time visiting the Rockafro Natural Hair Salon and it was great! I loved the atmosphere and how friendly everyone was. My stylist, Ashunti was great too! She continuously checked with me to make sure my braids weren't too tight which I really appreciated very much. The only thing I could think of that could be improved on is that if the stylist does anything extra that will increase the fee, the stylist should make sure to mention how much extra it will cost before proceeding. I washed my hair right before heading to the salon because the website said pretty much to come with your hair washed or add it to your appointment for an extra fee (not verbatim, just summing it up). So I decided to wash my own hair. Since it was still damp, my stylist asked if it was okay to blow dry my hair so I approved. Later when it was time to pay for the service, I saw that the blow drying came up as a $10 charge. It's only $10 so it wasn't a big deal to me but it would have been nice to know that I would be charged for that beforehand. Aside from that, I really liked it! I will definitely be going back and recommending it to my friends and family! 😁”

“So first off I want to say I've been using boxed dyes since I was maybe 16 yrs old and I am now a grown woman almost 40 and to say the least I was very nervous to even go into a salon after all the years of damage. After looking around online at local salons and reading reviews I decided to give Maria a call. She was very kind, she answered all of my questions over the phone and she was very inquisitive to what I wanted to do with my hair, she asked me to take photos of my hair and also photos of examples of what I wanted my hair to resemble. She then booked a test appointment for me and that went well. Maria is very sweet and makes you feel at ease, I didn't feel embarrassed at all or nervous around her. I mean, my hair was kind of bronze with orange tints so going into a salon made me feel nervous and that I'd feel judged, but that was not the case at all. She then recommended products that would strengthen my hair to help prep it for my balayage. I'm so glad she did, I really love all the products she recommended and my hair is getting a lot healthier than it's been in a long time. So the day of my appointment I wasn't expecting the amazing results that I got. It did take a few hours as the process does but they practically flew by as Maria and I made conversation. She was very easy to talk to and even shared some laughs. She paid very close attention to my hair during the entire process and kept asking me questions through out the process to ensure she was doing her best to achieve my idea style. When it was all done, it was even better than I hoped!I get somany compliments on my hair. I highly recommend Maria, she is such a gem, and has given me a good hair salon experience.”
