“I had to get a new copy of my birth certificate and I was honestly dreading my visit. I pictured a DMV-type hellscape and had set some time aside just in case. Well turns out I was way off the mark. The staff here is friendly and helpful, which was needed for me because it's a big building (enter in the back in my case). The kiosk system to order documents and then hop across the hall for the document itself is great. Easy peasy. I was in and out in 10 or so minutes, give or take. Well-oiled machine here and friendly folks to help you get where you want to be.”

“I went on a Monday morning at 9:15am and was done by 9:45am. There was a short wait outside and a guy came out to explain the process to everyone then started us on our appropriate paperwork. Kris helped me with my name change, she was very nice. Overall great experience - I was surprised how easy and quick this was. If you're there for a name change due to a marriage, I recommend filling out the application online. Also, you'll need to wear a mask.”

“Recently visited the DMV office in New Kent, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. The DMV website clearly spelled out that all locations were by appointment only and had all the information I needed to schedule an appointment. I showed up a few minutes early, had a great conversation with the employee at the front desk and went back to get some car issues taken care of. The employee behind the window was fantastically kind and helpful. She was patient and skilled, which has never been my experience at the DMV, and I was done in about 15 minutes. Easily the best trip I have ever made to the DMV. I will definitely be back!”

When she should probably violate you for breaking the terms and conditions of drug court. I just read that she retired in July of 2020. I just hope her replacement is as fair and just as she was.”
