“Wow, what a great store, especially for a small town. You can get whatever you need, literally. Lots of fishing supplies, camping, and whatever you are looking for, I’m sure you will find it here. They even have a great little cafe, with killer food. Prices are all reasonable as well. The staff are all very nice and helpful. My new go to store here, while visiting horseshoe bend. How did I never go in before, but I’m glad I did today. Killer food too, thanks guys. 2 BBQ beef sliders, with fries… $7.99. It was jammin, homemade, and I ate it as all! See you soon guys.”

“This is a 50+ RV park separated from the golf course but overlooking hole 13. The sites are all concrete with very large pull through and some long term back-in. Also some class A casita's available facing the course. The people are very friendly. The staff is very positive and helpful. We stayed the month of Feb. The pool is not heated and even in the warmer days no one seemed to use it. The main activities are contained in San Antonio which is 20+ miles away. If you don't golf there is no organized activities. The bathroom / showers are all ceramic and very clean. You pay for electric as well as the monthly site rent. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.”

“My family owns a vacation property here and we very much look forward to our stay each and every year. The kindest staff and the amenities are second to none. Just came back from our week long trip and the only negative to report was the indoor pool being closed for renovation even though the sign at the front desk said it would n should have been reopened by mid August. Other then that this is an amazing place to make core memories with family and friends.”

“My family and friends wanted to float the river and ended running across Mill Haus cabins. What a gem we found and super affordable! This is exactly what we wanted. Private, clean, spacious, perfect location, gorgeous views, right on the lake for launching your floats, cook top, clear water, privacy, the list could go on and on. To sum it up perfect a home away from home. We wanted to stay so much longer and talked about planning one more trip before the end of the summer. Cathy the manager was so helpful and added to our great experience. We will be back and will only visit this location. Thank you for the wonderful time Mill Haus 431 and 478A we will see you again soon!”

“Small, quiet RV park in a small town. I stayed here while working a project in McPherson. It’s a small gravel park with full hookups and services, including 50 amp hookup and on site laundry. Though we never needed it, there is a below ground storm shelter on site. The park is bordered by residential neighborhoods and farm field. If you’re doing a long term stay there is a gym which offers a 24 hour access card across the street (Inman Wellness Center). You will have to drive for most stuff, but that may be a decent trade for that small town feel this place gives you. There is no crime here that I noted. Many times I forgot to lock stuff away, and although I had the newest rig in the park, I always returned to find my stuff undisturbed. The cautionaries: this may be a Kansas thing, but there are a lot of spiders running around in the gravel. Most of what I saw were brown recluse or northern widows (a type of black widow). So I’d wear closed toe shoes and use lawn chair mats. Also this town offers amazing water pressure, so you must remember to use your pressure regulator. Edit: almost forgot to mention. While AT&T had very limited service here, it was offset by the park’s WiFi which I found fast enough to skype or stream Netflix.”

“This community is great. Thanks in part to fairly strict management, you don't have very many trashy people living here. You don't have broken down cars in driveways, or old TVs laying in lawns. It's really quiet here and very affordable. Better living experience than an apartment, but far cheaper. This area of town is growing quickly and I bet rates will start to increase.”

“The Villa B&B checked all the boxes for us on our recent four-night stay. The historic property and grounds are beautiful and located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood, close to many restaurants, shops, and things to do. Our room (the Verona) was terrific-spacious, clean, and very comfortable. But the crowning jewels of The Villa are the outstanding hosts, Toni & Martin. They were very welcoming and so knowledgeable about things to do, places to eat, etc. Toni is an AMAZING chef--her breakfast offerings were delicious, filling and beautifully presented! We truly felt like we were staying with friends. We will be returning to The Villa the next time we come to Tacoma.”

“Lynda and Craig were fantastic hosts who made us feel welcome. Their Breakfast was amazing and delicious every day. My husband and I stayed at Newark Manor with four of our friends. Lynda and Craig were helpful with giving us information about local wineries and they had cards for complimentary tastings for many of the Wineries. They were also knowledgeable about local restaurants and attractions.”

“Not sure I can write an accurate review of the RV park. I can say that it's the home to people that are very important in my life. It appears clean and maintained. It was just a drop- in and check on a family car problem. The RV park is larger than it looks from the road.”

“We have a place here now and enjoy it very much. Wish the boat launch and docks were in better repair. They are very unsafe and every ti.e I park my truck in the lot, I get ants all in my truck.”

“When we first moved here about 10 years ago there was a lot of craziness going on. There was a lot of drinking and partying and fighting in the streets, gunshots and things like that. But over the last three or four years it has just really calmed down. Everyone on our street works and pretty much keeps to themselves. It's really peaceful and I really like it here.”

“There were over 100 spaces and only 2 motorhomes. It's in a huge parking lot with full hookups perfectly level for all sites. 4 dumpsites there I think. Great food within one half block. We would definitely stay here again it was super quiet. And the people were so nice they treated us like family. Said no checkout time we could leave when ever we wanted. Wow can't beat that.”

“Belle Parc RV resort is quite beautiful. The park staff are professional and courteous. The RV sites have double wide concrete pads. The pool is very nice with interlock stone surrounding that are non-slip with wet feet. The activity centre is nice. The office has well documented information on the many activities and places to go from this location. We're on their wait list and hoping they have a site for us next winter.”

“I just spent three months, from Nov 1- Feb 1, in a bungalow here. It was an absolute pleasure. The owners were friendly, helpful, and made sure I had everything I needed. The resort is a true taste of old Florida, authentic, casual, and safe. It is directly on the beach, which is never busy, always beautiful, with lots of birds and an abundance of shells. Sunsets are spectacular. Gulf Sands is located just before private residences begin, so the beach is very quiet; it almost feels like it's your beach. Casey Key is a special island, once you cross the drawbridge you are met with beauty and serenity. If you want a a public beach, beautiful Nokomis Beach is on the south end, with a drum circle twice a week. If you come in December, you will enjoy the beautiful Venice Boat Parade. I will treasure my memories of Gulf Sands Resort.”

“We had a fantastic visit. The perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. All the guests and staff were friendly and lots of laughter heard throughout the stay. We loved our tiny home. We brought our dog and she loved chilling on the deck. We had fresh eggs in the morning…the grilled cheese and not so tiny lemonade are not to be missed off food truck. The tie dye and candle making were fun and made nice souvenirs. We will be back!”
