“What a beautiful location for our family vacation. This end unit has additional windows that gives the best views of sunrise and sunset. The bedrooms are the perfect size. All the things you would need for your 7+ day stay are provided. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and a friendly letter from the owners. We very pleased with the decore. It was subtle and represented the name Sandy Shores, well. We loved that this location was right on the beach, part of a quite neighborhood, and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Can't wait to get back down there.”

“This camp is perfect and affordable for all your family needs and in a great location. It’s across the road from the beach with easy access to the beach. It’s close to stores and snowball stand. The screened in area is really nice. The camp is clean and very roomy. The camp owner is very responsive and professional. He did everything to please his customers. I gave five stars because it’s really nice and a bargain. My only complaints would be as another person stated is the A/C at 74 is a little warm for me and took a little while to cool at night and the wagon shown in the picture is locked so I had to carry more to beach than I wanted. Like I said no real complaints because it’s great and I understand locking personal belongings so it’s there and in working order when you need it yourself. All in all you won’t find better deal for the size, and extras this camp offers. Thanks Camp Laid Back we enjoyed our stay back in June.”

“Great campground, lakeside and hillside spots, big group sites and day use areas as well. The road to get in is washboarded so I’m not sure how some get big campers in here. Lots to do on the water and trails nearby, peaceful but just enough action going on to have fun. The only downside is hillside campers intrude on some lakeside spots to get access to the water that can be annoying.”

“My wife and I had a wonderful stay at The Inn At The Shore. The room was perfect- clean and spacious with a queen bed and bathroom. Linda and Bill were super accomdating and will treat you like part of their family. Breakfast in the morning was delicious with an open menu and a spread of juices, fruit, and yogurts. Bill will make you anything you can think of and will knock it out of the park (Eggs Benedict highly recommended) My wife and I spent most of our time on the Porch but if inside is more of your thing the Great Room has everything you could need- pool table, TV, music area, and games. A guest fridge, microwave, and water cooler are available which we were grateful for on a hot summer day. Bill and Linda's attention to detail and vast experience in the hospitality business really shine through here. We can't wait to come back!”

“Cleanest shore motel EVER! We just finished our second stay here, having previously stayed at the same spot for a decade. We LOVE the Surfside- super clean, comfortable beds, nice sized rooms. Location is great for us: about a mile from the beach, but easy to walk to many restaurants. The facility is safe and staff lovely. We will be back and absolutely recommend Surfside.”

“Customer Service-We traveled from Utah for my niece’s graduation & when you drive far all you want to do is relax & sleep. Amber was so great with accommodating our needs. She was so quick to respond, because of her service we felt comfortable and knew she was going to make sure we were going to be taken care of. That’s why I’m going to give it 5 stars because of her customer service. Room Service & Cleanliness - 1 out of the 4 days we stayed we had our “do not disturb sign” so we understood that we weren’t going to get any room service. The rest of days we stayed, our trashed wasn’t empty so we accumulated trash before we left, toilet paper wasn’t refilled, and we had to call every morning to get new towels.(We did call one morning for towels & it never came)”

“If the new indoor pool, jacuzzi, game room and a playground etc was finished it would have been much better! An outdoor jacuzzi would be really great. It would be nice if the larger pool started at like 3/3.5 feet since such a huge difference from kiddie pool to it. Remodeled room was nice but I loved the jacuzzi tubs they use to have. Of course being oceanfront was nice but it rained for several long days. Great shopping in the area. Location, other than traffic is nice also. Great fishing in the area!”

“I have been living the “camper life” for about 7 years due to my work and have lived in many camp sites throughout MT, OK, KS, and TX. Old Town RV park gives you some good old fashioned neighborly feel and experience! I was made to feel like a part of a family from the very first day of moving into My space(#9) I felt comfortable and was confident that my belongings were secure in my absence. I just can’t say enough about how well I was treated by everyone there. Susan and Ron are Gracious host. Thank You Guys so much.. “After reading the reviews I found after I checked in that you have to take reviews with a grain of salt. I traveled with my family which consisted of three children and we stayed for the night but found the hotel to be quiet the rooms were nice The beds were a little hard but manageable. The pool unfortunately was already closed for the night but it looked clean as well as the hot tub. There was also in the atrium area next to that a pool table and several games that you could play. There was an enclosed breakfast area for the free breakfast that was available. The free breakfast was amazing as well as the customer service. The only small complaint I had was the fact that the room that I had was connected to an adjoining room, and apparently someone else had checked in way after we had gone to bed and I didn't realize it was an adjoining room and the door was not locked and they actually walked into our room and woke my son up. The gentleman quickly turned around and left but he did apologize before leaving. I do want to add that if you forgot a wall charger that they have built-in chargers on the lamps that were on top of where the television was and also where the lamps were between the two beds. Overall very satisfied with my stay and the next time that I go back to Ark City to visit family I will definitely booking a room there!”
