“I love this campground. It's a beautiful small campground nestled in the trees in the canyon. It has 22 sites....several first come first serve and then there are reserved spaces. I don't recommend long trailers. One man had a lot of trouble parking his 20 footer. The parking spaces are not really designed for that. It's geared towards tent camping. The bathrooms have a vault toilet in them. Currently there is no water available in Fern Basin Campground due to issues with the tanks. However, water is available at Marion Mountain Campground just up from Fern Basin. I really love staying here. I had no cell signal with Metro and another lady had T-Mobile and no signal. Her friend had one with Verizon. Please enjoy the beauty of the campground and help by picking up your trash and putting it in the dumpster provided. At $10 a night, you can't beat it. Very relaxing and peaceful.”

“If you want to get away from the city this is the place for you. Management was very nice and helpful during my stay. It’s quiet and you’ll feel secluded away from all the lights and car noise. You have a nice Mountain View literally in your backyard. PLUS if you like some 4x4 off-road action there is a back road towards the back of the RV grounds that leads to the tops of those mountains. I recommend a good lifted 4x4 to keep from scratching the bottom of your truck if you’re a pavement princess.The early morning drive into town will take your breath away with the mountain background and sun coming over the horizon. Best part of my stay here was the star gazing at night. Best views you’ll see at night with your loved ones. Now the downsides. They have an office but nobody is hardly ever there so arrive early if you can get ahold of management to answer your questions but once you get their info to contact them it’s pretty easy to get a hold of them and are very nice and helpful. There is a gun range that echos around the entire area. Sounds like contract workers hammering away but it’s the range. Doesn’t bother me much. It’s not that loud and only goes on during their working hours. At night it’s pretty quiet. The laundry facility looks like it works but nobody has used them in a long time and pretty moldy around the gaskets. Needs some love in there. RV spots are mid spacious, not to close but not to far either, and they have no numbers of designation marked on the spots. Other than that if luxury is your thing this place ain’t for you but if your all about the outdoors and don’t mind the little things this place is great. I’ll definitely come back again.”

“My wife and I spent a wonderful evening getaway in Augusta to celebrate her birthday and our decision to stay at the Augusta Guest House was a big part of our great time. The building has an incredibly interesting history and the accommodations were excellent. They are still in the midst of a renovation, and some of the public areas are still being worked on, but the rooms themselves are complete and comfortable. We were greeted by the innkeeper who welcomed us warmly and walked us through all of the salient points of our stay. The inn is located just off of Main Street and literally seconds away from many of the key points of interest in Augusta, including shopping and dining destinations. We plan to visit again!”

“Very clean and comfortable campsite. Sites don’t feel too close together and it’s very close to the palm canyon hiking trail. Lots of huge hills to climb nearby too. Try to come here during the spring or fall. The bathroom and showers are always clean when I’ve camped here. Its also within a very close distance to the town nearby. Great site to stay at for a desert hiking/rock climbing weekend.”

“Awesome owner She's loves Antiques and her rooms show it. Nice clean Ms Clair & her hubby take care of all her customers and helped me out during the last storm. Now don't expect a smart tv..tube tv. I love it. Reminds me of the past. Simple no stealing identity ect. I got the cutest little corner blue tub and it's right on the Ohio River. Ya all need to experience this. Sad though COVID fighting her bank to keep it cause her banker left sold her note. I pray she can keep it. If you want a “cookie cutter” room with standard features, this might not be for you…We wanted a classic beach area rental and loved it! 😀 It felt like an old Route 66 motor inn!…reasonable price, clean & safe, absolutely…plus lots of charm & local flavor…adorable bungalow style…each with a table & chairs outside! So much fun!! What more could you want?! By the way….the owner is wonderful, friendly & helpful…and, your dogs are welcome!! Pennie & Joe say paws up for Palm Motel 🐾🐾”
