“I have been living here for 7 months, so take that as you will. I absolutely love it here. The management isn't over bearing and they do do quarterly checks on the house, and the first time i was nervous but they mainly just check to see if you burned it down or smashed a wall, if you haven't you're good. Rent is cheap and the area is super nice and safe. The only downside is that the streets are narrow and you're not allowed to park on the sides of them and most of the driveways can only fit two cars. So if you want to have people over, you need to get one of the very few communal parking spots. It is a bit awkward having more than 2 people over but there are workarounds and this is a pretty narrow problem. Edit: I should also say, I prefer it when management is as hands off as they can be. They notify you about things that are going to happen or if there are issues they let you know accordingly and quickly. I've done a few things that they don't allow per the conditions unknowingly (leaving my garbage bins on the side of the road for too long, making one of the exits to my house less accessible for safety, etc.) and they have politely asked me to change these things with no harassment or animosity. They let you know about a problem but aren't at your neck about these things which I really appreciate.”

“Good motel for the price. Price: we paid $75 a night plus tax for a 4 night stay while visiting family nearby. Decor: Nicely decorated with an antique rustic vibe. Authentic antiques. Furniture: Furnishing were good, older styles and eclectic but functional. Comfortable mattresses but underneath the mattress was thick plastic and the floors and bed skirts could have been cleaned better. Owner was a nice older gentleman- we were provided clean fresh towels daily and the room was freshened up daily, waste cans emptied, etc.”

“This place is a decent place to live. I love the fact that there's a pool at the front of the park. I also like that the mailboxes are locked and secure to keep my mail safe. I like the swings and benches at the playground up front. There's also a lake situated in the middle of the park which I absolutely adore. Three laps around the park on the main loop is a mile and is great for tracking progress/training for a run.”

“We had such a blast staying in the Blum House. Yeah Its not a FLW house, but it was inspired by him. We plan on visiting and staying in each of the FLW & Berndston homes.The food from the Tree Top was pricey, but worth the $$ for the taste and quality of the food. My 'Only Complaint', is that there was no ICE, not even Ice trays. We had to drive into the local area looking for a BAG of ICE. To be honest, I would have preferred to have the restaurant provide even a small bag/bowl of ice in the freezer , enough for # of people we reserved the house under. If you stay you must6 walk down to the pond, spend some time just relaxing there before walking around the house and enjoying the care and consideration Berndston had when placing the house on that exact spot.”

“Nice hotel overall. It is a heritage building offering beautiful character and yes the hallways are tiny so if you have lots of luggage it's a bit of a workout. My room and bathroom were very modern and clean. I was located on an upper floor at the end of the hall so couldn't hear other guests. The room offered nice views of the cute neighbourhood and the bed was comfortable. Hotel is close to great coffee, several tram lines and Vondelpark but still offers peace and quiet. I thought it was good value even with the city tax.”

“Help! Do they ever clean the bathroom? Everything just looks old and crusty. But the one shower near the front was almost hot! Really nice spread out sites, we had no horses, but most everyone else did. Full on the weekend peaceful and empty during the week. Horse people all clean up after their steeds, it's a nice peaceful woodsy place. Oh and lots of trails!!”

The bed itself was very comfortable, the fridges didn't hold any snacks or beverages, but going down to the front desk I was greeted by a very lovely woman with a wonderful personality and was able to fill up there. Neighbors were nice, very quiet area. Unfortunately I wasn't able to swim in the pool due to the weather, but if I'm ever in Long Island again I'll be glad to stay again.”

“Cottages were very clean and most had lake view. The Cottages were very cozy with beautiful rustic paintings, kitchen and a beautiful living room. All cottages had fire pit, chairs and grill. The property had kayaks,life jackets, beach and a summer only jumping platform. There is a beautiful playground facing the water by the beach for the kids. They is a library/quiet room that is gorgeous! I had an amazing stay and definitely coming back!”
