“Just moved here and the proximity to water via Lake Dunlap is wonderful! The manager, Karla, is a sweet lady asks her warm demeanor was a big factor in my decision to make this my new home. The location is right off a busy roadway which can be tedious when leaving but there's also a great restaurant next door and a large convenience store, had station, Wendy's & Subway across the road. Only four miles from I-35 and New Braunfels which is a fun and historic little city with lots to do!”

“This is a place that every child feels connected and appreciated. The staff is remarkably responsive to individual children's needs. The facilities are well kept and safe. There is an activity for every type of child and encouragement from staff to try new things. My son had a greater appreciation for nature, himself, his family, his religion and his world when he returned home. Staff is available before, during and after camp to discuss any questions, comments or concerns. “Was stuck in a snow storm couldn’t find a room anywhere until the Sandwich Boutique Hotel showed availability. Booked it online. Joe had met us in the drive brought us in and showed us around. If we needed anything we could communicate with him through text. Room was quiet very clean and beautiful. Bed was comfortable and bathroom really spacious. Common area clean and bright. Very Beautiful place to stay.”

“This was such an amazing getaway, we can't wait to go back next year! The deer right outside of the window the first morning we woke up was such a treat and the view was AMAZING. “We have been coming here for years, even when the previous owners had the campsite. Let me tell you the new owners are absolutely amazing! Brad , Danielle and Tyler and all the staff go above and beyond to make your experience a great one! They have done so much to make it a better family fun campsite! Our kids always have the best time! Tons of activities for the kids and adults! Corn bag tournaments and bingo are always a good time! Lots of fun theme weekends! Ice cream shop, arcade and a great clean well maintained pool! The bathrooms and shower houses are clean and well kept! That was a big one for us! Just a quick 4 min or less drive to cannon falls and you have everything you could really need in a small town. Grocery’s, coffee, multiple restaurants an amazing bakery. This is our favorite place to camp in the summer and it’s only a short drive to the metro so extended stays on weekdays work out perfect!”

“If you have to stay in Idyllwild, the Idyllwild Bunkhouse can be recommended. It's a bit to walk from the city center, but the owner constantly drives around picking one up to drive them back. The homemade breakfast was a highlight, very delicious. Rooms were cozy, but a bit cold in the night.”

“Overall, fine place. We did have some issues, though they really weren't that big a deal. Everyone was very nice. We arrived a bit after 6 and had to wait maybe 10 minutes after pressing the ring doorbell for anyone to come. I think we just got unlucky with both employees being busy. But then our room hadn't been cleaned yet, so we just went straight for dinner at the restaurant next door. When we got back, the bed was made, but the floors were very dirty (like you needed to wear shoes or socks or you'd feel little bits of stuff on your feet after a few steps). The shower was out of body wash and hot water only lasted about 5 minutes, though it remained a little warm so could still shower without significant discomfort or anything. So overall, certainly works, but it was just missing some of the expected minor comforts of staying in a motel (compared to a hostel or camping).”

“We were checked in by Ranjita…very friendly and helpful! We were in a jacuzzi room. I thought it would make the room humid but we used it anyway. I was way wrong and so glad we did. After 10,000 steps through the airport it was just what I needed. Beds were comfortable and we slept very well. Room was clean. Breakfast area is well kept and stocked. Couldn’t have been happier!”

“My husband and I stayed here in January for two nights. Our room was very clean, warm, inviting and accommodating. The new innkeeper Ann provided instructions for us to obtain a key from a local store when we arrived in town. In our room was a lovely note and bottle of my husband's favorite wine! Later on after returning from her appointment, Ann greeted us in person and we chatted about the rich history of the inn. We are so glad we chose such a centrally located place within walking distance to good food, friendly people and steeped in Amish history. A welcoming place we hope to go back and explore again.”
