“The staff at front desk was friendly when checking in we got there early,she was able to let us in early our rooms were ready. There were 5 in our party .We had 2 rooms pool side,which were great. Nice and clean, house keepers were very friendly themselves and would get us things we were out of We were there 4 night. The staff at the bar were awesome people friendly and need to mention their names Lori and ray on Tuesday and Thursday They made our stay the best as well as drinks. “We stayed at the Sunrise Beach Villa. It was one of the nicest and most beautiful places we ever rented. Our small group was made up of several people over 70 years old and the elevator was a great help for all of us. The place was exactly as described and everyone had a great time. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook any meal. The people in the office were super nice! Thank you to everyone involved.”

“We stopped in there for the first time while fishing French Lake. Bought some bait. They do not carry minows. Went back after fishing and had burgers and tots. Both where very good. Burger cooked though and not burnt. Tots crispy and hot. Wait staff was very freindly and attentive to customers. All in all a great experience”

“This place is beautiful!! I travelled with the family and the highlight of our trip was the River. It was my first time showing my daughter and son how to fish and we caught one!!! They were so excited! We used grasshoppers as bait which also made it exciting to catch as well. The place is beautiful and peaceful. No need to go anywhere else off the ranch.”

“This weekend we stayed at the Villa of Wren for a girls weekend. It’s a breathtaking Airbnb. The decor is something out of an interior magazine. They have amazing rooms, jacuzzi tub, fireplaces, coffee bar, and such comfortable beds. The host did so many small details to make you feel cozy and comfortable. Very clean and neat. It truly feels like a home away from home. It is the best place I have stayed thus far. Thank u Villa of Wren for this stay I will never forget 🧡”

“I have so much appreciation for what Chelsea has done with this, once fated to fall apart, property. Super cozy interior, excellent color palette, excellent amenities, overall very restful and joyful experience. I am glad we have discovered this gem when looking for a place to stay near Sierra Hot Springs. It was raining outside but The Gilded Drifter was a perfect refuge for the night. I recommend bringing your food and using the full kitchen on premises over a restaurant in town. Definitely coming back.”

I had already paid for a cart and they applied the charge to the porter charges. The manager Sarfaraz Ahmed made sure my family was assigned a porter. “Had our wedding at Scholls Valley Lodge in October and it was a fantastic weekend. The lodge was big enough to host our entire wedding party for the weekend and there was always enough room to spread out. The unseasonably warm weather let us have the ceremony outside on the patio and the reception under the covered pavilion. There was also plenty of room inside the lodge to host breakfast for the wedding party and family the day after. The staff was great during the entire planning process and very quick to respond to questions. We got so many compliments on how beautiful the Lodge was and how perfect it was for a weekend of celebrating with our loved ones. So many of my friends have asked if we’re going to do an anniversary party just so we can go back next year. I would not hesitate to have another event there and recommend the lodge to anyone looking for a flexible and beautiful space for a wedding, family reunion, or retreat.”

We enjoyed the breeze and sat under a big shade tree. Truly relaxing. What a great location on Main Street near the historic area. Lots of beauty all around and yet private. Close to US Coast Guard training center and walking distance to the beach. Ashley the manager was very accommodating. Highly recommend for a unique stay. Place was clean & well appointed. “Had a great experience last weekend, worked with Ann and got a 50 AMP full hookup for a Friday-Monday stay. Awesome sunrise views with water and some beautiful wooded areas. Fished from bulkhead with little success due to the heat and time of day but we enjoyed the quiet relaxed atmosphere. Nice open areas to explore or walking the dog. The folks there are great, the campgrounds are well groomed, trash removal pickup close to sites. We were not on the waterfront but had a site on the pull through center section but still could enjoy the water view from there.We live in Virginia Beach just so it's in easy striking distance and we will be back!”

“We have been here two months and love the peace and quiet. Great access to the bay, private pier, private catch and release pond. Most everything one would need is pleasant drive to Kingsville, and if you need more alternatives and tourist attractions, Corpus Christi 50-60 minutes away. Great seafood is within walking distance, or you just make your own. Nice convenience store, bait shop, and gas .8 miles. Public boat launch, fishing pier, and park less than a mile away.”
