“A very nice hotel overall. The location is convenient: very close to the Google campus, and also very close to the highway. The service is good but I would expect the reception guys to be slightly more polite and welcoming for this standard. Concerning the cocktail bar, everything is just perfect: the service, the quality of the cocktails, the place itself with comfy sofas and a fireplace, the nice atmosphere overall. There is a heated pool and a warm jacuzzi bath as well. There is a gym with some machines, enough for a trip like mine. The rooms are the right size, very modern and comfortable. The cleaning is done everyday at the exact same hour, it's very professional. I just recommend coming there: you'll definitely enjoy it!”

Parking is a bit limited during high use seasons although golf cart runs by groups reserving the center from the alternate parking areas is available.”

“This place is really good! :) So glad we found it! We stayed in a 1-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. It is clean and had everything we needed and more. The pool is really big for everyone to enjoy. They have Beach chairs you can borrow as well as beach towels. There are 20 rooms in the motel, all on the ground floor and the motel is right on a very expansive beach. I highly recommend this motel and cannot wait to go back!”

“Pecan Springs was sold in late 2021, since then new ownership and management have been working steadily at rebuilding the entire facility. The expected completion is in October of 2022. Asphalt roads will be laid in early October. Management has worked hard to run a clean, modern property. Rules are enforced, grass is mowed and in a constant state of becoming a fabulous place to stay. Whether it be a day, or a year, you wont go wrong!”

“This no 5 star hotel, it is a dated hotel setting between two bodies of water. It has two very good restaurants one on site and a second across the street. Both have bar and awesome company. The hotel is an older hotel, however it is very comfortable and clean. Beds are not bad, water is hot with decent pressure. Plenty of coffee but no tea in the room. I have stayed quite a few times. I enjoy the lower rooms because of the quite and beautiful view of the lake. There is a firepit for use if you want, a grill to cook on, cleaning station for fish if you are fishing. The owner is very nice and easy to get along with. If you bring a boat, there is a dock available right at the hotel. If your looking for a 5 star hotel, this is not for you. If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay. That is clean with amazing food, cold drinks and possible fishing then this is a no brainer. Stay here if you're in the area, it's waterfront charm will draw you back.”

“We had an amazing two week stay at the campground. The staff were incredibly friendly. All the facilities were incredibly clean and the entire grounds were well maintained. With the gated entry and the ranger always nearby we felt incredibly safe at all hours of the night The camp hosts were always around and eager to help. They provided recommendations on restaurants, nearby activities and other state parks to visit. I found their firewood to be a better deal than that from stores in town. The wildlife was plentiful and very accustomed to people. Often I would enjoy my morning coffee with a whole herd of deer about 25 feet from my window.”

“We stayed in Ancil’s attic & had a fantastic experience. Cissy was kind & had great communication, price was fantastic. The cabin was clean, well decorated, bed was so comfortable, had cable, phone service (not that you need those last two, but just incase), and had everything we could have possibly needed for our stay... but more importantly the view is SPECTACULAR! Enjoy your wine (or no wine 🤷🏻♀️) in their hot tub & forget all your worries. We recommend going zip lining at wimberly zip lining (it’s a little expensive but sooo worth it, a once in a life time experience if you ask us), visiting Wimberly square, eat at the Longleaf, go shopping (or browsing if you prefer) in the square, and visit local wineries! (When you finally decide it’s time to get out of your beautiful cabin or front porch). Shopping/restaurants/ wineries are such a short drive. We will for sure be back & send friends to these cabins ♥️✨”

“Karen is lovely. She is very sweet and enthusiastic about her house, as she should be. The work she put into it in order to turn it into a bed and breakfast fit for kings and queens is extraordinary. I grew up in Salisbury and I remember this house being abandoned in the mid 90s, it looked very rundown. I still can't get over everything she did to make it what it is now. She treats all of her guests with the same grace and care. I had a wonderful week here and she made sure I had everything I needed. I stayed in the Rose Room, which was very enchanting. The bath was magnificent and the bed was very comfy. There's a really cool music box in the room and beautiful antique furniture. She brought me a breakfast table since I dined in a lot while working on writing projects. I can't recommend her B&B enough. her breakfasts were delicious and she let me take a coffee carafe to my room to enjoy hot coffee in bed. She also gave me a gift of fresh baked cookies and a cold bottle of water when I left. Simply charming!”
