“This hotel appears to be newly remodeled. It looks clean and smell clean. The hotel staff members are professionals in every way! I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay. Military guys we received a 10 percent discount. Please use it, just show your ID card and you're good to go. Until tomorrow enjoy guys and girls. I've read some of the reviews the negative one especially. I'm not quite sure when these people stay her at the Econo but I can tell you it's not what they described it as being. As I said Newly renovated. Yes I did see a panel pulled from the hallway ceiling due to a leak. Blame that on the plummer's. These people put much effort into a comfortable stay for anyone. I've been here a week. The maid assigned to my room she always on time to change my linens and towels. Replenishes my coffee and tea. She ask if I need anything. Ladies and gentlemen that's hospitality. I did pay more for a non-smoking room. The pool in closed because they are re- doing it. You have pigs wherever you go. If you are just one of those nasty people. I don't feel you have nothing to complaint about. Grandma said if the shoe fit wear it.!”

“This place is perfect!! There was 5 of us on vacation for 10 days so we needed a place that could fit all of us and help us save some money. It’s basically a fully furnished apartment, and our unit included a washer/dryer that was very useful. The location is perfect, with dining, shopping and the beach all within in 5 mile radius.”

“We enjoyed our stay at this wonderful little B&B! Location was perfect for all our activities planned for our weekend away. The breakfasts in the morning were tasty and the coffee was great. Keith and Sandra were wonderful to talk to and very knowledgeable about the best restaurants, trails, and golf courses in the area. The room we booked was clean and very comfortable. “Recently stayed here with my family. Was exceptionally clean and the front desk staff were extremely helpful. The room was a very nice size and the beds were comfortable. Having the kitchen area was a huge plus since we were traveling with teenagers. The pool was very clean and it even had a little outdoor area to grill and relax. Breakfast was very good with a pretty big selection. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in town!”

“Very nice people. Beds comfortable got room with queen bed. Unfortunately the room didn't have a tub. Weird shower head with limited strength spray, hard to get my hair rinsed. I gave 4 stars for service because people were gone by 6:00 so can't get anything special. Although they aim to please. Complimentary breakfast tasty. No coffee in room. Limited parking behind property. I like more amenities. I probably would not return. Came to Whidbey to celebrate a friends life after passing.”

“We had a wonderful stay at the Gruene Hotel & Retreat! We stayed in the Cozy Cabin room the first night and had to move rooms the second night because they didn’t have consecutive rooms available due to my last minute booking. They were super accommodating and helpful. We were able to just switch our stuff over right across the hall. The place itself is so cute and cozy. The beds and pillows are awesome - very comfy. BREAKFAST - AMAZING!!! Love it! We will be back.”

“I had a very nice time here. Terri checked me in. She was awesome. I had underground parking and there was always an open spot. 3 elevators were available to take me to my floor/room. Place was huge. Loved the washer and dryer. Fireplace in every room. Tub was huge I could drown in it. Very clean. Bed was so comfy. Loved it. Short walk to to gondola. Ski valet is conveniently located on way to Gondola.”
