“This place is free (the space center costs money, but the Saturn V site is free and has free parking) for anyone who wants to see this legendary rocket. It is almost bigger than you can imagine, and especially mind-blowing when you realize that this massive engineering marvel is only designed to take three people to space. It is on loan from the Smithsonian, so it will not be here forever. This is a perfect free trip for the family, especially visitors to Houston.”

“NASA Mission control center tour was a great learning experience on the space missions. The prototype and model modules will help us to understand the 'how the control system works'. “My wife and I recently walked about the Niles Canyon Railway museum while waiting for one of the Niles Concerts in the Square (the area in front of the museum) to begin, and several years ago we took a ride on one of the restored trains. It's a little gem of a railroad museum in one of the old historic railroad towns that dates to the intercontinental railroad (1869). The museum resides in an old historic train station, not the original, but turn of the 20th century. The train ride and the museum are a great family outing. Kids, big and small, will especially love the train ride.”

“Awesome museum of Air Force History. We visited with our grandchildren ages 10 and seven They had an amazing time looking at the exhibits, climbing in the space shuttle, being in the airplanes The museum guides were excellent , knowledgeable , X military. The museum is just a wonderful tribute to all the military personnel and families that have lived in this area Highly recommend a visit. You will need approximately two hours to visit the museum. they have a very well organized good priced museum store with great military merchandise- model planes, patches, etc.”

“The museum is in a historic old building that was the only school for the black community. The exhibits focus on the prominent, if uncelebrated, role of African-Americans in the history of Clarke County. The museum sponsors a book club and many cultural events each year. The museum is open to the public on Sunday afternoons or by special request. It is a hidden gem and worth the trip to Berryville.”
