“This art museum is absolutely worth it for the price - and you might even learn something! It’s a small museum, I spent maybe 45 minutes there. I loved their exhibit covering the Great Basin, especially the photographs. They have a large collection of Native American arts - all donated from a couple that collected it. They do not allow backpacks, but they do have free lockers (maybe 12?) for you to use. If it’s busy, you may need to plan ahead. You have to reserve your tickets (online) at least two hours in advance due to covid. When I checked in, they had a sign that kept track of how many people were in the building. There were only a handful of other people while I was there. They do have a hands-on kids art area, but it is currently empty due to covid.”

“My experiences at the Nature Center have been very positive. The rangers who staff it are very kind and welcoming. The nature center is very nice with a men's and women's bathrooms each with a few stalls. There is also a aviary that is currently being renovated and several tables and benches outside. Inside there is air conditioning and also a 3D map of the park. There are a large number of animals inside, although it fluctuates.”

“A tradition has sprung up amongst the hikers & beachcombers: the word "LOVE" is spelled out on a big boulder using rocks, shells, twigs & pinecones. Whenever the word is messed up by the weather or the teenagers, it gets spelled out again.”

Very interesting and informative. There are a number of events scheduled here through the year. The gingerbread cookie contest is my favorite. Am I Mormon? Nope! “Small but great place. My wife and I showed up about 45 minutes before closing and they happily gave us a tour. They have several restoration projects going and welcomed us to take as many pictures as we wanted. Also, all the work being done is by volunteers who are passionate about Canadan aviation history.”

“This museum displays photography and early 20th-century camera equipment. They also feature contemporary exhibits featured on a rotating basis. Hugh Mangum was an interesting man. At the turn of the 20th Century, when life was incredibly difficult for the African-American community in the photographer used his camera to challenge racial barriers and capture the southern states of the US, this self-taught photographer used his camera to challenge racial barriers and capture the diversity of the American South. A great tribute to a courageous and compassionate photographer. ”
