There's an introduction film to the area, and displays about George Washington and the lead up to the French and Indian War. “The 2 nature trails found in the area are both excellent. The orange trail is only about .25 miles and is a crushed stone path with boardwalks over the water. The green trail is over 2 miles and is a dirt path. The trails are open dawn to dusk. The visitor center is open Thursday through Sunday 10 to 4.”

“Red Hill Horse camp is amazing. The owner is incredibly friendly and available as needed. Camping here is a great experience - sites are fairly level. They have a bath house and dump station. You leave camp and hit trails immediately. Additional trails are found after traveling a very short distance on a gravel road. Highly recommend!”

“I can't recommend this gorgeous cemetery and gardens enough. Our Lady of the Rosary is a beautiful, peaceful, and well-cared for place. It is host to myriad gorgeous flowers and is a restful place for loved ones. I really appreciate the inter-faith nature of this cemetery, and their championing of local artists with the installation of beautiful handcrafted monuments and grave markers. I also greatly respect the green burial practice that is an option at this cemetery. Our Lady of the Rosary is a beautiful, peaceful place to wander and reflect.”

It would be nice if there was a little more to do here but it is pretty clean and it would be nice if the doggy bags were restocked. “We spent 3 nights at Caroga Lake. They have a great staff who really care about the well kept campground. One shower house; very clean. All toilet houses are very clean. Sites are of varying sizes, but mostly small (a tent or two and an EZ-Up over the table. Fire pits are cleaned out after each reservation leaves. the surface is gravel. The beach is small. Drawbacks: Water spigots are hard to find in the woods. Only one shower house, so if you're far away from it, it's an uphill hike. The general store across from camp is really a sandwich/pizza shop. The wood we bought there was wet and wouldn't burn properly (not a ding against the campground, but just sayin'). There is zero cell service at this campground. Whether that's a plus or minus is up to you.”

“We stayed here for 1 month after we moved out from Utah while we were buying a house, and it was perfect for what we needed! The campground has a great location, close to shops, restaurants, etc... The campground itself has some really nice scenery. The lakes are pretty and the trails around either side are very fun to walk. The employees were always kind and helpful. A lot of people seem to be staying there on some sort of extended basis so it feels very friendly around the campground. There seem to be nice lakefront spots for people on shorter stays. Overall, highly recommend!”
