On our third visit to Heritage Park we had the experience of walking a majority of Bluebonnet Trail. The family loved connecting back with nature and enjoyed looking at the statues of various animals along the trail, as well as the wildflower areas. Two pluses were a bench that overlooked a river and a public restroom is located at the end of Bluebonnet Trail near the Performance Pavillion.”

There are several hammocking opportunities near the official end of the Hummingbird trail and on the Red Squirrel trail. Great views of north COS and the high plains. Plenty of street parking. Overall I didn’t pass many people on the trails. The forest is very serene. Highly recommend this park for a quick weekend hike.”

The equipment is nice enough, and can entertain small children for about an hour. There’s a basketball court to shoot hoops. Plenty of grass for you to run around. In the past couple years they’ve added a pet potty station- so, now you’re furry family members are welcome too. There are no restrooms for humans…”

“Love this campground. No hookups and a vault to toilet.. the road is the only thing that separates the sites from the ocean. But on a sad note they have raised the price to $25 a night. In my opinion it is too much for a dry camp. I don't think I will camp here again for that reason.”

Fantastic access to the water and serene views that surround you on all sides. Eben G. Park has a few picnic tables, biking/running trails, great open space with luscious grass, a small playground, lots of grandiose trees for shade, and public restrooms. It’s a great spot/park to spend some time in nature and isn’t nearly as crowded in the morning! Perfect for cooling down in the summer, too, especially if you bring tubes!”

Campground Rv park Lodging Park Store

“My parents have a new vacation RV and they are new to the experience. This was their first time camping out of their RV. They traveled down from Toronto to visit me in Woodstock and we wanted to go camping out of it for a night. We chose this campground because it was one of the few accepting guests into late October, and it’s close to Kaaterskill falls. The woman on the phone was really friendly. The site was super quiet, we hardly saw anyone. They have a great area for kids with stuff like a basketball court, a horseshoe pit, and a game room with a pool table. It was really ugly weather unfortunately but the campsite itself was clean and there’s tons of grills for cooking EVERYWHERE. overall really fair prices for full hookups and a quiet space.”

“The Common Ground park is wonderful. I just ask parents of typically developing children to take your children to absolutely ANY OTHER PARK as children with sensory difficulties, autism, down syndrome, etc. really need a place where they can play without the chaos of other kids running over them. I implore parents to be sensitive to the needs of children with special needs and let them have this place as it was intended.”
