“Good clean quaint little park. It has a little butterfly garden, separated areas for 3-5 years and older kids, 2 small pavilions, a nice basketball half court (one goal) and big well kept open grass area to throw footballs, fly kites, and some picnic tables. The whole park area is surrounded by a sidewalk which is mostly visible from all play areas. And 4 metal barbeque grills.”

“Great playground for all ages. They really built this one right. They have an enclosed toddler area with a sand pit and a big kid playground (boat themed) right next to it. They also have an amazing splash pad that resembles the small one they have at Great America. They have bathrooms and tons of benches. The best thing about this park is the shades over most of the play areas. A small basketball area and 1 tennis court are also on the grounds.”

“I recently went with my partner, it was my first time at a nudist campground and being nude in public. I felt very comfortable and everyone was friendly. We just visited for a few hours. Enjoyed cooling off in the pool and lounging around it. Walked down to the small pond with a field next to it, very pretty and quiet. Lots of active frogs to watch/listen to. Liked the open shower room. Didn't spend time indoors but there is an indoor seating area with tables. We do plan to visit again this summer for the day. Scenic drive and area as well.”

“This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen! My boyfriend scores some extra points for taking me here last week for sure.😁 It only cost $5 per person to enter and you can take as long as you want and take as many pictures as you want. If you love plants this is a great place to go. It is very relaxing. When you first get there you go in this house and pay the cashier and she will give you a map of the property. It tells you about each area of the gardens and gives a little history on it and the man who originally created the gardens, Mr Chandor.”

“I was bike riding something I've been doing for many years, also that park central park wasn't there when I grow up in WS. Their was a vocational interracial school right at the bottom of old Salem that's what I also remember about that location. The school was for the disable, handicap, whether physical or mental and yes I did graduate from their and went from their to marines from 73 to 79. So this park has great remembrances for myself. “Great view, the guide was super nice and knowledgeable. First let me say it kind of annoys me that the zoo doesn’t tell anyone about this place or advertise in anyway. If you buy a ticket for the Zoo you can pass through the gate to go to the Shrine. If you have 4 people in the car you have to have 4 Zoo tickets though. Also your Zoo ticket is good for 2 weeks to go to the Shrine. I wish i knew that before buying one on Monday and again on Thursday. The Shrine is very well cared for, they maintain the road up even in the winter months. There are clean restrooms in the building in the parking lot. The drive up is not scary just go slow and watch for cars coming around the narrow corners. The view is so cool! Ask the guide questions, it was so great chatting and learning from him. He pointed out all the sights that have plaques and explained a lot to me. It’s called the Shrine of the Sun because it is the first point the sun hits as it raises and the last thing as it sets. So cool. The stairs are not bad at all, there is a landing at each level to pause if you need to go slow and catch your breath. The shrine plays music every 15 mins and a whole song at certain hours each day. Such at fun little thing to do if you are already at the Zoo, don’t miss it.”

“This park is pretty epic. Usually there are 2-3 homeless people chilling at this one table but they usually keep to them selves. There are also some awesome splash pads and really nice play grounds. I did a backflip off of the swings once. It was pretty epic. Dm me if you want the video. Missions are here relatively often, usually in the mornings between 10-12. They will teach you about Jesus if you get too close. It is also next to a high school, so if you come during the day make sure to check the slides to make sure no couples are in them, so that your kids can stay innocent.”

“I love this dog park! It has extensive walking trails through beautiful woods and prairie and following the Crow River. In the late summer and fall, when the river is low, there is a perfect beach area for the dogs to swim. They make efforts to maintain and improve the park with stairs, erosion prevention, and a toilet.”

“I actually live one block away from this park. I lived in this neighborhood for 28 years. Aqueduct 🚶♀️🚶♂️ walk has seen a major renovation. When i first came to Aqueduct walk it was a sad sight to see. The lights in the poles in the park where broken. It was totally dark at night. The park benches were missing parts and pieces. The handball courts were always littered with empty beer bottles and cans. Lots of drug paraphernalia. It was really bad. Today it has been totally transformed into a beautiful park. New park benchs and lighting all over the entire park. Handball courts are brand new and well maintained . The park has a new play area for the children. Giant sprinkler included. New water fountains and even a beautiful garden area. All these areas are opened in the morning and closed at night by the Parks Department. The areas are patrolled by the NYC POLICE at all times. The park and surrounding areas are safe and Aqueduct walk is now a place where i will bring my children to play. I recommend a visit.”

“We stayed at the Hunters Lodge AirBNB this past Saturday night, and we truly enjoyed ourselves! It may be listed at a Hunters Lodge, but it has delightful country touches, which gives it a family-friendly appeal. The beds were so cozy. We had extra blankets to snuggle with, plenty of pillows, beautiful views out, and the window. We really enjoyed seeing all of the owner's paintings around the space as well. The kids are already asking when we take another trip, and we absolutely will be back again!”

“Beautiful fall hike on Meeks Run trail. Roughly 2 miles from start to finish. Easy hike, not many hills at all. To minimize exposure to mud, a wooden walkway was built with nonslip mesh. I was thankful for this as there were a few muddy spots so without the walkway it would have been a lot less enjoyable in spots.”

“this is my first time to this park. Very much enjoyed it. We walked all three trails at this park. Saw a lot of fish activity, couple of deer, water fowl, and lots of birds. The oval trail that loops around the body of water that is cornered between interstate 71 and the outlet malls has a very steep slope on the trail that borders along the edge of the outlet property, be careful walking along this part of the trail.”
