“Reflection Pond (area) a local Chumash site is well worth the hike. About 75 mortar holes, windbreak & stick sharpening area exists at the Northern sandstone rocky outcrops. This area was a historical local Chumash tribal food preparation site. Plenty of wildlife use this location, keep an eye out for rabbits, ravens, coyotes, bobcats, lizards and other creatures. Best times of the year to venture out to this location is late fall, winter and spring. Summer time you'll need plenty of water, nutrition and electrolytes out here. Shade is nonexistent so wear headwear to shade your head and neck, it can get hot out here. The distance is about 5.5mi from the parking lot to reach this site using El Camino Viejo trail. “Nice Boating Dock and Park. Great spot to launch from. However, lots of people have very poor manners and attitude in launching edict and boat launching. Expect to spend some time trying to launch your boat and to get it out of the water. People will try to cut in front of you on land and in water. Tempers will rise and violence is usually threatened. Please keep your cool. I recommend the staff try to get some police presence. Overall it's an okay place.”

Whether you are visiting for a short break, or a nice walk through the shaded walkways, even just to see and feed some very hungry geese / ducks, you will always find people throughout the park happy. It is very well kept clean, and orderly. The newly built playground is absolutely amazing and the children seen their have tons to enjoy. With the presence of the local PD regularly sweeping through no real fears of incidents comes to mind. Definitely a park to visit in your free time if for nothing else than to just drive through slowly and enjoy seeing all the happy people and possibility of some wildlife.”

“Sherron (park sup/manager) is AMAZING. Goes out of her way constantly to care for the elderly that can’t take care of themselves, goes grocery shopping for tons of us, and SO much more. She is a dream. Makes the great atmosphere here that much more pleasant. Love this place to the extreme. On site laundry center, $5 will get you 2 FULL loads cleaned and dried. On site shower upon request. Everyone is so quiet and relaxed. ZERO drama. Looking forward to years to come here!”

“My wife and I were searching for parks where we can take the stroller and our newborn for a spit ... and we found this gem! It's huge. It also always has a lot of things going on... from teams practicing baseball to people playing basketball, it has picnic areas, a water splash fountain area for kids to run around in, bathrooms, exercise machines outdoor that are free to use, as well as a whole lot more. It's terrific. Full of life. The best part is, whether busy or not, we never feel like we aren't able to be in our own world taking a stroll with our baby girl. The whole atmosphere is perfect. I totally recommend this park! Oh...and let me not forget to mention the parking....plenty of parking! 😁😎 I couldn't ask for more.”

“Decent playground. The equipment is a little old, but it's in reasonably good shape. Most of it is geared towards young kids (2-5). The slides and swings are all fine. Good, well-kept mulch covering the full playground. Looks like they've just kept dumping mulch such that the springy rocking seat equipment now barely have room to move. But everything is safe. Not a lot of shade. Equipment probably gets hot on a sunny summer day.”
