“I would say this is a very nice place to fly, but it would involve a fairly big caveat. That being if you go on a weekend expect HUGE wait times, as the old guard seems to get here when the sun comes up and stay until it goes down. And if you have anything without wings (read: drone) you will be relegated to the pock marked DMZ looking dirt area between Glider Field and the San Gabriel Riverbed. If you're able to get here in the middle of the day on a weekday you might luck out and have the place to yourself!”

“Gulf Breeze Trailer Park is everything you could want in a mobile home facility. Helen, the lady who owns and runs it, ensures a peaceful atmosphere with a friendly smile and as much, or as little, personal attention as you require. She, her son Peter, and their crew keep the grounds very attractive. The location, in the heart of Old Port Aransas, is in walking distance of shops and groceries and about 4 blocks from the beach. We feel very lucky to have found this small enclave and would not consider leaving.”

“Beautiful place, good for hunting or just taking a nice walk in the woods. Lots of trees but still plenty of sunshine peeking through, and my kids especially enjoyed their time on a "hike". We'll definitely wear hats next time though, in hopes to keep some of the ticks off of our heads. I think we picked off about 13 ticks between 4 of us. But it is the woods and we'll be back again!”

“We grew up at the foot of Mt. Talbert but were never allowed to cross the creek and climb to the top. It was a rigorous hike to the top but I was sad there was no "outlook" once we got there. On the other hand it encouraged everyone just to head back down and not linger. It was wonderful to see it from the other side. Thank you!”

“Very shady in Sunbury and soon will be able to go from Sunbury into Galena since workers are connecting trails. I am very sad some of the people in Sunbury do not follow rules. A yellow tape has been put across the end of this trail to keep people safe and off dirt and cinders as they prepare to blacktop. Unfortunately people are going around the tape with children in wagons. What are we teaching our children? Please respect yellow tape it won't be much longer!”

“Good spot to start north up to Holy Hill region. Small lot, only 5-6 spaces including non-marked areas. Only issue is to cross the road a hundred years in, while not terribly busy, locals do drive quite fast.”

“Nice campground. The camp sites are a little close for comfort - basically the sites are like 2.5-wide parking spots on either side of the main road. I can comfortably fit my 5th-wheel trailer with the slides out next to my pick up truck in the parking spot, but there’s no margin in between your spot and your neighbor’s. The full hookup sites have 30A and 20A electrical hookups and water, but the big downside is that the drains are only for gray water - you can’t drain your black tank at your site. There’s a designated dump station at the campground, but it’s a hassle if you’re staying for more than a few days and you have to hook up the trailer and drive over to the dump station and then re-park and set everything back up at your site. The views of Lake Perris are really nice and the campground itself is very scenic and well laid out with hiking trails and a decent beach. There is a bit of a problem with litter on the ground and in the water though. Prices are a little high with no weekly discounts, compared to other campgrounds and RV parks, but I guess that’s to be expected in California.”
