“This park is beautiful. We love to sit on the benches overlooking the ship channel, watching the boats go by, the birds, and the dolphins jumping in front of the ships. There is a great playground for the children, a big open lawn to play or sit on, a pavilion for programs, an observation tower, a public restroom, and lots of places to fish. The fishing pier got destroyed by Hurricane Harvey in 2017, but it’s being rebuilt this year, and parking is being expanded. Really nice.”

“As forest preserves go. This is a nice one. Full of little historical facts along your hike. I prefer a hike further away from the sounds of traffic. But other than that. I would recommend for a nice nature walk”

“Nice trail in the woods; but the path is quite narrow, so I recommend wearing hiking boots. I wouldn’t walk on it if it’s muddy. Lots of cobwebs. There’s also a short paved trail along the main road that’s nice.”

“Combination area of a hunting area, historical site, hiking trails, and county parks. It’s a nice variety of Prairie and wooded area with a lot to offer for the outdoors type. The abandoned homestead is an interesting point to visit, and there is a bit of history to read on public placards. Limited gravel parking, paved parking in the county park.”

“I've been taking my dog(s) to parks for over 7 years this park is in my top 10, just unbelievable beauty, especially now with Spring turning the hills green. There is so much bird wildlife I just sit back and try and mimic the sounds the variety of species there make, everything is alive there and if you want a peaceful, tranquil place to collect your thoughts it's definitely a great choice. Taken some great pics of my dogs just loving life and blessed to have parks like this in my neighborhood.”

“Nice place to go for an after dinner evening stroll in the evening. The trail is mostly paved. The stroll isn't too long to walk the whole trail. You can even take the shortcuts to make it shorter if you prefer. I loved coming here when i lived in Edgewood. Its very calm and relaxing. Great place for a private picnic and some of nature's natural habitat. Parking can be tough because there's only a few spaces.”

“We decided to stop and walk the preserve and we had a really nice time. The park rangers were more then welcoming and informative. We saw a gator, heard another and had a nice walk through the park with a myriad of other animals. Would definitely come and explore more at another time.”
Address: 3135 Kent Rd, Stow, OH 44224, USA
“A very nice and unique neighborhood park. I am deducting a point because they could provide a few picnic tables or improved picnic area. The park is very nice with some pretty areas to explore around the stream. The stream is typically not flowing, but is still nice to explore. There is a winding trail around the park. There is a new bridge (2020) that was added that provides an easy way to get across the stream. Besides the new bridge, there are two smaller bridges tucked inside the park... one is a very nice rock bridge. There is no playground or level play field. But still a nice park to explore. The park is a nice way to take advantage of an area that might have been simply used as a storm drain.”
