“Cool little park inside The Preserve. It's great to have these little Reprieves inside an already wonderful neighborhood. I enjoy the track shaped weaving sidewalks that are all throughout the parks in The Preserve, & find walking so much more enjoyable when walking along them 😊”

“Lovely park with a walking track 5/8 of a mile around. 8 laps makes 5 miles. Several benches to look out over the water. Small beach which has been closed for years. Lots of pollution in that lake with sewage drain off. Very disappointing metro Detroit and Canada dump into this large lake. Very pretty lake views. In the summer, the city puts on Wednesday evening concerts. LOTS of people show up.”

“Guided tours through the sanctuary where they tell you about the animals and why they are at the sanctuary. We booked tour online before going and you currently need to wear face masks to protect the animals from getting Covid. They have a small gift shop also. Tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable about the animals. Lots of different animals to see. Would recommend if you are in the area.”

“We had a small gathering there for a birthday. It was clean and plenty of space for the kids to play. They had shaded seating and lots of play structures. The kids had a great time and we will be doing other activities at this park as well.”

“Excellent park with well defined trails. There are some steep spots and the trails are not paved so exercise the appropriate caution. There are several good views of the lake on the northern trail. We didn’t do the southern trail on this visit. Parking is good but not huge. The north trail was a good mix of shade and sun, not sure about the others. Lots of fossils visible in the upper limestone.”

“Great place to live very quiet ,safe and thriving community in the process of revitalization that's on the upswing after suffering a great impact over the last 42 years definately the investment you would want to make as a future homeowner. You will find 3 and more bedroom homes equipped with basements and fireplaces and plenty of yard space to suit your needs for family and space. This community has a tight knit community organization for the whole even garden community as well as individual block clubs with block captains for each street and the block. Just 15 minutes from downtown Detroit near the expressway , shopping centers grocery store surrounded by newly renovated buildings on gratiot that has become a building business district.”

“Small nature preserve with easily accessible boardwalk paths. Definitely a bit of a hidden gem. Boardwalks over vernal pools with plenty of wildlife (ducks, small mammals, invertebrates, and if you're lucky, salamanders) in the spring, and will be well worth coming back later in the summer to see after the pools dry.”

“Google maps is not accurate on the directions. As soon as you pull in, take the first right. Don't go straight. It's like a cul-de-sac. There's No "park " / "equipment to play on." Wear closed toe shoes, sneakers, tennis shoes etc. The wood chips vary in size and are not flip-flop friendly. Great variety of equipment. Nice shaded area.”

“The water system is on which was a surprise. The park wasn't full at all and many times my kids were the only ones in the water area. Playground equipment is scorching at times so the splash zone is a welcome relief. Ice cream trucks are in the parking lot on standby. The foothills and Ohio River view is a fantastic sight. The fire rescue training area is on the left as you pull into the park. There were police dogs, a firetruck and fully outfitted firemen that the kids got to see. Really a spectacular experience for the first day of summer.”

“Amazing Customer Service With a Fast Turnaround Time! I found Engraved-Rock online in my quest to find a rock that could be engraved with a corporate logo, and let me tell you, what an amazing find! Linda was extremely responsive and provided valuable input on how to make our company logo appear on the rock more prominently. She took the time to understand my needs and showed me several examples of their work. The rock was made and shipped within 24 hours of me placing the order. I am extremely pleased to have found Engraved-Rock, a husband & wife team, in my search. They put a lot of care into their work which is reflected in the end result.”

“This is one of my favorite places to take my friends. There is a dock with benches. It's a super cute place for a date during all of this covid business. Also a great place to catch pokemon fight gyms and swipe stops.”

“Great park; clean, well kept, and dappled shade. The swings and playground are underneath old oak trees so they're pleasantly shady, and there are a couple of benches right next to the play area that make it easy for a caregiver to sit and relax while easily keeping an eye on the kids as they play. There are two or three really gnarled oaks that make for a great climb. Other amenities are: basketball court with four baskets, baseball area, one covered pavilion with four picnic tables, dog park, and water fountain. I'd love to see a bathroom here, but it's a relatively small park so I imagine that it's not priority to install one.”

“As an artist that makes ceramics, paintings, and various other forms of art I sometimes find it hard to appreciate some sculptures. park itself is ok, however you may see owls in the woods along the trails just left of the entrance which is pretty cool. The park offers a lot of space for picnics and also have some tables to sit at.”
