“We love our daycare! The daycare is clean and Abby and Mike really work with you as far as your schedule. They have so many extra activities such as the Monkey bus and soccer. Being that this is a small learning community, they have been able to enjoy a multitude of activities while establishing strong bonds of friendship and building a positive rapport with all teachers and staff. Any time I have a concern the principal and teachers are extremely responsive and tend to stakeholder needs. The new principal has also brought about many positive changes where stakeholders are involved in providing feedback and input, as well as much more accountability. “Take this review with a grain of salt for two reasons. 1. I went to Highlands over ten years ago, and 2. I only ever went to one elementary school so I can't compare it all that well to other schools. With that being said, the one thing I learned at Highlands that I still use today in college is the simple skill of raising my hand. We were drilled to raise our hands at Highlands if we knew the answer or had a question, if you didn't raise your hand 75% of the time you would get called out. In college the fact that I ask so many questions I feel keeps me more engaged and helps me remember the material better. It also influences the professor to give me a better grade as I'm so engaged.”

The kids love dead man's hill and the guids take them up at the end to tire them out for the bus ride home. The trails are very clean and well kept. It's a beautiful area with lots of different scenery.”
