“By far one of the best preschools in Simi Valley. Carol and her staff are the best and are more like family then just teachers. They really do care about each child and are very involved when it comes to helping your child succeed whether it’s potty training,or helping prepare your child for kindergarten. My kids look forward to going to school everyday! I love the security gate at the front, it gives me piece of mind knowing they are safe. Also the big colorful classrooms and the new outdoor playground equipment is great!!! Lots of space to run around. My oldest especially likes all the tricycles they have there to ride around. During the summer the camp there is always packed with activities and field trips to keep your child entertained. After school pick ups are great too! I was super nervous to have someone else pick up my child from school. But carol and her drivers have made our transition so easy. I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends! “DeKalb is a complicated school. It wants to be forward think with it's Tech programs but stumbles on the actual implementation of these programs. The faculty does care but the student must also care for their future. The sports teams can be great when the teams are cohesive. Overall this school is slowly trying to change for the better but prgressvis nutured by the usual politics of running a school.”

“Our daughter is currently in her second year at Crestview and we could not be happier. The staff is phenomenal, creating a very warm and inclusive environment for the children and their families. Our daughter absolutely loves going to school each day and has since day 1. What has really impressed my husband and I though has been the education/learning focus that the school has as part of its core mission/curriculum. At three and a half she is already reading and starting to do some some early math all which is a result of instruction at the school. We continue to be blown away each day by what she comes home being able to do. The school's focus is very much on creating responsible, considerate and autonomous children, so there is a big focus on having children learn to be independent and help out with all chores around the house, an added bonus. Would strongly recommend to anyone with young children. We plan to send all of our children once they hit the entry level.”

“I used to attend this school for 5 years, and I loved it. sure, the food could be a little better, but mostly, the staff and teachers are pretty kind. some of the things they taught was a little too easy for me, so I got put in a special education 'club' where they challenged me a bit. i also attended blackman for a short period of time, but liked this school a lot more. the reason I'm giving it four stars is because some of the students there are a little rude, the dress code is literally insane, and kids can cuss each other out on the bus and nobody gets in trouble for it. otherwise, its a fairly good elementary school :)”
