“I started bringing my 17-year-old chihuahua here a couple of months ago and it’s become her regular veterinary office. The doctors and staff are always very friendly and helpful. I take my little sister’s 10-years-old chihuahua to Banfield as her regular veterinary office but I can definitely tell the difference between the two offices and the way in which they care for their patients. Everyone at Via Verde cares for the patients as if they were their own pets. I can feel calm knowing that my chihuahua is being well taken care of at this office. The staff members are always willing to take the time to answer questions. And I like the fact that they allow walk-ins.”

“Dr Welsh and her staff are amazing. Dr Welsh is calm and factual. She is compassionate and non-judgmental and she listens. They follow up after serious issues, without fail. Her prices are exceedingly fair for the level of service provided. As far as taking the animals to the back, their equipment is in the back. I’m absolutely certain that if asked, a pet parent could accompany their animal to the back. As for people who say 1. “they lied and told me my pet would die”, Dr. W would not say ‘would’ - she’s not like that. She would say “maybe” or “might”. 2. “they wouldn’t get my animal in” or 3. “they referred us to Mansfield ER” (a GREAT PLACE), I have the following comments. 1. Sometimes we roll the dice in life. Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. Glad his dog didn’t die. That doesn’t make the Dr. bad or evil. She doesn’t prefer surgery. 2. Yes. Sometimes they can’t get our animals in. Grow up. Who raised these people? I suppose they’re the same ones who cut in line - anywhere. It’s not Multiplicity. Dr. Welsh can’t clone herself because your animal is sick. 3. Yes, they refer patients out when they are full. Don’t people’s parents teach them the world doesn’t revolve around them? I have the utmost respect for individuals who choose to pursue animal health, as people can be self absorbed, overly emotional, and spew out one star reviews with slight to no provocation. Dr. Welsh and her staff have cared for my animals for years. They have been full at times, referred me out at times, and given me options for my situation that I didn’t love sometimes. I’m not a vet. She is. Thank goodness we have people like Dr W who are willing to deal with our humanity to help our fur babies.”

“We noticed our 7 month old Puppy had a suspected ear infection, we took her to the New Albany Charlestown Road location and low and behold she did! Our sweet girl was very fearful and leery of the staff however Liv the manager was so very patient and kind to her that she was able to do everything on her own for her. She barked and made loud noises like she was going to be mean but she wasn’t. However the level of patience Liv had for our Nettie Boo was outstanding! I’m going to order a muzzle for her 3 week return because I want them to be comfortable. Thank you again!!!”

“I just want to thank Ellen the groomer and all of the staff for taking care of Haylo. He went in for a groom a few days ago. As a groomer myself, who was unable to groom him; They didn't hesitate to get him on their groomers busy schedule. Haylo has a number of health problems and the staff went out of their way to make sure it was a positive and safe experience for him and myself. He came home super happy, so soft, smelling amazing. This is an Emergency Veterinarian Service so they take the sickest animals first, I saw a lot of them while I waited, it made me so grateful that they're not far from where I live. “This is my cat Princess. She is very shy and always very afraid of the Vet. We saw Dr. Allerhand and boy was I impressed. She treated my baby like you would treat a human baby. She was soft voiced very gentle with how she handled her. I know from other vets we have seen the the vets and vet techs want to be the ones handling your pet but Companion is different. They want your animal to feel safe and secure and allow you to give them that feeling during their exam. Dr Allerhand is the most kind Veterinarian I’ve ever met. The entire Staff at the pet hospital and boarding group have only the best intentions for your pet or as I call them furrr babies. Everyone on the team is very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable and I appreciate that they have no problem taking the extra time to answer any questions that I had about my puppy. Just in my first visit, I can tell that the doctors really love and care for their patients and thats definitely important to me. I've heard the vet call other pets 'babies' instead of 'patients' and I think it's the cutest thing! “I brought my cat in for what I had been told was a chronic upper respitory infection by another vet after recently losing another cat to pneumonia. I was quickly informed it has nothing to do with a respitory infection and everything to do with bad teeth and that infection reaching the sinus cavity. Surgery was quickly scheduled and they took care of my 15 year old pet who now seems years younger by improved health. It wasn't cheap but was worth it.”

“On Monday, September 24th I had an appointment with Pet Crusade, (referred by Mary S. Roberts). The entire staff is absolutely wonderful, and truly cares about pets. I had rescued 5 kittens, which I have been fostering for over 2 months. As I was waiting, I spoke with a man that had a mastiff dog, and this dog had a huge tumor on his back leg. The owner was so upset, because he said that he had been to several other vets, and he was told that the dog should be euthanized. Richard, one of the wonderful doctors at Pet Crusade worked out an affordable plan to remove the tumor. The dog owner was so happy and cried tears of joy. I would also like to mention that Amanda had helped me with my 5 foster kittens who was so sweet and amazing as well. Thank you Amanda! Although the doctor at Pet Crusade said that the kittens were healthy, the staff at Mary Roberts said that I need to take the kittens back to the vet, because they think that one of the kittens has an upper respiratory infection...this time it was a different kitten from the first time I went to Mary S. Roberts. Anyone that is in need of caring, affordable veterinary care, I highly recommend Pet Crusade. “We had just moved here and I mean only been in Virginia not even 2 weeks when we noticed our cat was losing weight and just not looking good. I called around for hours and when I called this place and explained everything they got my in right away. Sadly we received the horrible news that our cat would need to be put down. They did offer a treatment but informed me that she wouldn’t survive it. So instead of lying to me to get me to spend $$ which I would have if she had a high chance of survival they told my the truth. I was able to bring her home and we got to spend 2 days with her before my husband and my son took her in to put her to sleep. They did wonderful. They cremated her and offered a selection of urns that we got to choose and they imprinted her paw into plaque. We got her back pretty quickly in nice velvet bag and the urn and her paw print. A week after we got her back we got sent a beautiful card signed by all the people who work their and they wrote personal messages . They also did her nose and paw print into the card which was very sweet. Thank you for being so wonderful during such a rough time.”
