“Dr. Fitzpatrick went above and beyond for our sweet Lola! Lola eats things she should not and something got stuck. They got me in within a half hour of me calling. It was late in the day so they took the time to call some local emergency vet hospitals (which we could not afford) but Dr. Fitzpatrick figured everything out. She was able to do the surgery the following day and Lola is recovering very well! ❤️ I truly appreciate all of the effort that Dr. Fitzpatrick and Alex (vet tech) gave in behalf of Lola. We have experienced a lot of loss over this past year (not Covid but cancer and other terminal health issues) so I’m pretty sure my heart could not handle one more loss. I’m so grateful for Dr. Fitzpatrick’s willingness to help us and Lola.”

We trusted them so much that when the time came to say our last goodbye to her, we took her back there for one last time. We always appreciated their high level of care, compassion, and approach to healing. When we heard our favorite vet, Dr. Walker is back full-time at the newly open Navy Yard facility, we immediately transferred our new dog's records. Our first visit was nothing short of wonderful. It was easy to find street parking (we booked an early morning appointment). The neighborhood has plenty of walking options and is clearly dog friendly. The look and feel of the space, with welcoming and warm staff. made us feel at ease and comfortable. And having our four legged companion in the care of Dr.Walker has made our already pleasant experience a perfect one. We give our highest recommendations to District Vet in general, but especially to their newly open Navy Yard location.”

During that time, we’ve also seen Dr. Jim Russel and Dr. Dawson and they are all equally awesome!! In addition, the staff are all top notch, from the all the technicians, the front desk staff, grooming and boarding etc, we trust Battleground 100% with the health, safety and well-being our our pets! We even moved 25 miles south to another county, but still will not part with these great folks! Our corgis have all lived to a very old age, and we contribute that partly to the wonderful vet care they have received over the years!!”
