“Dr. Santamarina is a good veterinarian. He saved my kitty life two times. He is very knowledgeable in his profession and also very concern on the costumer feelings and his /her economic situation. Unlikely other veterinarians that only see business and also don't get directly to the kitty problem (like one of the Banfield Pet Hospitals, which I will never go again)... Because of the pandemic, I image that is very difficult to make an appointment like I see in recent reviews. Anyways, I am very thankful and I strongly recommend him.”

“I've unfortunately had a lot of emergencies with one of my dogs since COVID started this year. It is really tough to wait in your car or at home for hours for someone to call and give you updates on your pet, but its the same situation everywhere right now and I don't fault the VCA for this. I think they are trying their best to keep up but I have been concerned once or twice about how urgently they are attending to my dog based on her condition. I've been told in the past that they will bypass the "line" in order to see/treat the very urgent cases asap but I worry that they can't always make that judgement without seeing/evaluating the pet first. Most of the staff is really nice, professional and accommodating. I have come across 2-3 techs that have been flat out rude to me on the phone, but thankfully this is not usually the case. When my dog was here for an extended stay, they let me come visit her (outside only) one day just to put my mind at ease. Usually if my dog has to spend the night I will get a picture texted to me before bed or in the morning with an update, which is greatly appreciated. Doesn't always happen right now since they are so busy though. The doctors seem very thorough in their work and I like that they usually present me with my options and let me choose what I'd like to do - ex. "we can run bloodwork and also do an ultrasound, but if the cost is too much I'd recommend starting with just the bloodwork and we'll go from there". Lately my dog has been seeing Dr. Cornetta who is very patient with me and my frantic, anxiety-ridden questions. I trust her expertise and appreciate that she's trying her best to keep me calm throughout a pretty scary diagnosis/treatment plan with my dog!”

I walked in yesterday after trying and getting no help from one of the big Corp spots a week ago and literally the service rep Jason went above and beyond to help me. He was able to fix the part I thought I needed to replace rather than try to up sell me. He took a long time making sure it was right too. “I am so thankful that a place like this exists! First Coast no more homeless pets was exceptional from beginning to end. they offered a very reasonable price to neuter my dog. I called many animal hospitals before being referred to this place. I was shocked and appalled at the price I was quoted by so many different veterinarians to neuter a dog. You try to do the right thing to prevent pet overpopulation and it's just unreasonably expensive. If it wasn't for this place I honestly wouldn't have gotten him neutered. I appreciate a place like this offering reasonably priced services so that you can take care of your pet on a budget. More people should know about first Coast no more homeless pets . thank you for everything you do and for truly caring about the animals first!!”

They are also connected with other specialists (example: ultrasound), so you may not have to go to a separate facility for your cat's diagnostic needs. I definitely recommend them based on my experience. They're also careful with COVID-19 safe distancing.”
