“Fantastic staff and they were all so pleasant and chatty. They could not do enough to ensure you have a good experience. The only little niggle is that there isn't much of an atmospher in the bar area. However, staff very chatty so that makes s difference. Rooms modern, quite big and very clean. We have stayed 3 times and will return. We even practised our Spanish with a charming young man from Barcelona.”

“Commons Wood is a very popular site 12 months of the year, even in the snow! Always clean and tidy with helpful wardens. I personally use Commons Wood for storing my caravan, but if you need somewhere to stay to visit London or south Hertfordshire then it's perfect. Great road links and direct rail into Kings Cross. Hatfield House and Knebworth House just 5 minutes and 15 minutes respectively. Worth a visit..”

“I loved my stay at this rustic hotel. It was a dream house in reality! It was quiet although it is located at a busy road. A walk through the city is a must. Especially the local theatre is amazing. Host is very friendly and conversations as well as drinks are flowing. We were treated like royalties with dinner, drinks and very warm welcome.”
