“6th Century Ayot St Lawrence Old Church. Later additions to brickwork can be seen but the original entrance is on the reverse of the tower identified by the font at the left side of the doorway where the holy water would have been for pilgrims to bless themselves while entering. Still a remarkable old church and well worth a visit. My personal score is 10/10.”

“Went for Christmas lunch with my sister's. On arrival booking hadn't been recorded, but luckily a table was available. Drinks a bit pricey, but this is a Greene King pub so no surprise. Staff on duty when we arrived a bit off, maybe it was our fault they messed up the booking, it seemed like it!! However, food was top notch! The lamb shoulder cooked to perfection, all other meals 100%. Also staff that came in later much more friendly. Would have got 5 stars except for the initial attitude.”

“We have a very playful and slightly mad cocker spaniel, Bailey, who was a year old when we left him for two weeks earlier this month. The staff were absolutely fantastic and showed us around when we made the booking and answered the many questions we had. When we picked him up, he was well adjusted, though still slightly mad and although pleased to see us, was playful with the staff who had been looking after him. Well they can't speak, can they, so you only have their body language to go by. He was groomed while he was there and the groomer did a fantastic job too. Will not hesitate to use their services sgain, knowing that they will always take great care of him Thank you guys”
