“I grew up in a WELS in Wisconsin, (coincidentally also named Good Shepherd), so attending here for the first time, brought back a lot of memories and familiarity for me. I was able to see a 3 month old baby getting baptized into the Lutheran faith and able to receive Holy Communion. I had the Opportunity to chat with Pastor Deters prior to the service, a very pleasant person. He is ready to retire in two months after a 30 year tenure with this congregation. He also knew the Pastor of the church I grew up in Wisconsin, as he started his service in Illinois. The church was founded in 1947. They no longer have a school for the children. All of the people were welcoming and friendly. Overall, a pleasant experience if you are searching for a traditional Lutheran Church in the central Phoenix area.”

“Love the food and the service there. We ordered roasted pork, roasted duck and Swiss Chard. The skin of the pork and duck were so crispy, the veggie was fresh and everything tasted so good. Two ladies who served us were extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place to everyone.”

“This shop was recommended to me by a friend. This first review is 5 stars for customer service. The first time I called, Paul was on a test drive. I called back again 15 minutes later and Paul answered all of my questions and seems to know what he's talking about. I then drove my jeep 2 hours and dropped it off. Paul is just as nice in person and gave me a 2 week turnaround time for complete transmission rebuild and transfer case freshen-up. I will review again after the work is complete. The shop dog is awesome also. *Edit 2 weeks later. Picked up jeep and drove 100 miles home, it drives like new now. No leaks on the driveway the next day. Thanks Paul!”

Spent four hours helping us jump hurdles to transfer our plan from another carrier. They were very patient and truly there for us, the customers. “I love this warm, welcoming, very community-involved church. They have some beautiful buildings, too. The sanctuary has some modern stained glass windows that are inspiring and beautiful, and remind me of the church I grew up in. The pastor is the salt of the earth and willing to dig and work alongside the parishioners. It's clearly not a wealthy church, but they do all they can to help out needy folks in the neighborhood. I just go to a meeting there, but their warmth, welcoming attitude, and visible involvement in the community has inspired me to give money and donate clothing and personal care items whenever I can.”
