“When my Aunt Jane could no longer live independently at age 80, I was the "sainted nephew" who, along with a wonderful niece on my late Uncle Art's side of the family suddenly dropped everything we were doing to help move Aunt Jane. I had a full time job and 3 little kids in Arlington, VA, and I had to make a quick decision on selecting a safe and caring place to move my Aunt Jane. On one Sunday I visited 5 or 6 adult care homes in Tucson. As I arrived at Connie and Helen's at the end of a long day, I was pretty discouraged about the previous homes I had visited. But I was immediately impressed with Connie and Helen's Sunset Manor. One of the half dozen ladies that lived there was Olive, Connie and Helen's own Mother. That made a huge, positive impression on me as did many other aspects of their positive home and the apparent loving care they gave to their senior lady residents. I was quite impressed with their family room which had an artificial Christmas tree decorated for Valentine's Day! Connie and Helen said the tree got redecorated for each major season or holiday, to help keep their residents oriented to the time of year! Loved that! And my Aunt Jane, who lived there the last 5 years of her life, often remarked about what a lovely place I had moved her to, with Connie and Helen's adult children, grandkids and pets visiting regularly, which my Aunt Jane loved. She had never had children or pets, but she often told me how wonderful it was to be around so much activity, yet she could always go to her quiet private room if she was tired or needed a break. I highly recommend Connie and Helen's Sunset Manor!”

What made them more outstanding besides their job performance...they are animal lovers! Our 2 boxers first barked but the crew quickly subdued them. “Lots of things to lol at stocked inventory seems fully stocked. Clean and very quiet like nobody knows they exist almost. They hide away far in the back lot of this huge area so maybe that is why. The employees are cool but pushy at closing time. Made us uncomfortable when all I was doing was paying my order. Oh well seems that the entire world is the same way these days”

“Such a fun and friendly environment to learn some more advanced cooking techniques. I love cooking but have never taken any class before. There were three of us in the class and we all got to prepare one of the dishes used in the final meal. The food we made was unique and allowed for some new techniques to be learned. Equally helpful was having Marti there to ask any questions. She was so helpful and friendly with even my most basic questions. I would definitely recommend if you are a snowbird looking for something to try while in Tucson, or anyone like me who wants to learn and watch a professional chef in the kitchen.”
