“A short 1.3 miles. There a lot of ups and downs with about 1500 ft elevation gain. The scenery is beautiful after a long rainy period. There are shaded tree areas and open areas. So bring sun screen. There is a river that you need to cross but the stream was minimal. There was also a nice bridge.”

“This is a little piece of history within Fremont. Once the site of one of the most important commercial nurseries in California, it still has many unique trees and shrubs. There is an amazing rose garden with a wide variety of colorful blooms. There is also a restored adobe building on site. It is a great place to walk, and you'll see an amazing variety of wildlife, including raptor and many bird species. It is open from dawn to dusk and there is free parking.”

“Deaf Plus Adult Community organization has been volunteering at LEAF and our lovely leader for our group was Lisa Wilis. She is beyond amazing, she is able to communicate and work with my Deaf Disabilities consumers. They all adore Lisa, her warmth, supportive, patience, positive relationship and lastly they all loved when she bring the homemade goodies that she baked at home. They are delicious as well. We are very thankful for the positive enhance experiences we had with Lisa and LEAF Gardens.”

“There are great paths to hike around the lakes. I like to bike over to the island to get really nice views of the surrounding park. I recommend biking over on the Alameda Creek Trail. From there, I usually go back to Niles or Vallejo Mills area. I really like that this park is easily accessible from the Alameda Creek Trail...you do not need a car to get there. At Quarry Lakes you can also go fishing and swimming.”

“Obstacle courses are a nice perk, but the park overall is average sized. There are separate small dog and large dog sections. Can get a bit muddy on rainy days! Beware there are a few balls laying around as well. Poop bags dispenser ☑️”

“Open and out of the wind from the east bay. Hidden gem in the hills of East Union City. Great for parties or to have picnics/lunch.”

“Excellent hike with a very convenient location. There are cows grazing along part of the trail, and while large (and a little smelly) they aren't mean or intimidating. There are fences and gates to keep them in their pasture. There's a lovely bench up at the top of the hill offering beautiful views of Dublin/Pleasanton. I especially like it for evenings and sunsets, but it does get quite windy up at the top - bring water and a jacket.”

“Frequent visit this trail. Rolling hills are beautiful this time of year, given the rains. Took heed of rising reservoirs compared to weeks ago. Admired the blooming rare fruit trees in the orchard grove - a site to see. A refreshing morning activity, good experience. Recommend as a easy leisure trail to hike/walk. Mostly gravel trail.”

“This hike is just amazing. It can be a tough uphill slog at times, but always with incredible payoffs at the top of every hill. On one side are endless views of the bay and the hills on the west side. Town around and there are rolling green hills as far as you can see. You can make this a long or short hike, easy or hard, but you'll most likely love it (so long as you don't mind horses and cows, and the excrement that accompanies them).”

“There are many miles of trails, some multi-purpose, some for hikers only, and some for hikers and horseback riders. The views from High Ridge Loop Trail and Tolman Peak are stupendous. The park is well-maintained, if a bit rustic. Perfect for either daily dog-walking or serious hiking. Dry Creek Cottage Gardens, open only Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, is a delight. Different plants are growing and blooming through all seasons, but the rare irises scattered throughout the garden are a special treat in Spring. Don't miss the Garden.”
