“Absolutely amazing trails! Dog friendly and views of red woods are fantastic. The drive there was almost as beautiful as the hike.”

“One of my fave local parks with a great network of trails for both mountain biking and hiking. Some of the trails are like deep Forrest umbrellaed with tall redwoods. It's hard to believe that this park is so close to a major city.”

“Mountain Biking. Great trails. Juaquin Miller has some super fun downhill routes. Watch out for the hikers. Most are easy going... only the occasional self righteous MTB hater. Beware of erosion. Usual lines are becoming unpredictable.”

“There are 2 large, enclosed spaces, one for larger or energetic dogs, and one for small dogs and dogs with lower energy, etc. When it's rainy, however, the lower enclosure for smalls gets water logged and not useable. Usually a good space and people follow rules for safe dog play. If your dog becomes disinterested or overwhelmed with the other dogs, it's quite easy to just leave and walk up the paths instead. I like this dog park best out of any in the area. I think it's the perfect size for a quick dog social, then a walk.”

“Has a dog park, hiking trails for hiking and biking, stairs to run on, a theatre, basketball court, and a Vista point of a scenic view of the bay area. Definitely a park to check out in Oakland. And please pick up after yourself after taking a photo shoot or having a picnic. It annoys me that there are fake flower petals/confetti on the ground because you don't want to clean up after yourself. And dog poop too.”

“Quiet, secluded sitting areas upon rocks or grass near the Creek..or even away from the Creek up at sidewalk level. I wouldn't suggest a visit after dark since the local raccoon tend to come and take over the grass and Creek area. We must share with our local wildlife. So lets allow them the nights.????????”

“Palos Colorados Trail is a beautiful path through a steep canyon with a mixed forest including redwoods, oaks, and bay trees, and year-round cascading waterfalls. It is not a beginner's trail. One should wear appropriate shoes.”

“I go there 2 times a day I walk thst area 5 miles a day.. The truth I have narcelospy so I have only short times I can still meals 15 mins then I have to walk and listen to music. All the time to stay awake. It's a terrifying feeling to struggle to stay awake. This walk calms me and quiets me. Thank God for this place and Google play. No joke without music I would fall asleep walking.”

“The Hayward Shoreline is a nice place to go for a walk along the shoreline overlooking the bay and the wildlife marsh areas. The Interpretive Center is always a good visit to see the wildlife art or photography exhibits that is displayed there and changes every few months. Also very interesting in the center is seeing some of the native wildlife creatures in fish tanks or reptile cages. The staff is friendly and helpful on answering questions about the shoreline or the wildlife that lives here.”

“Was a great hike lead by naturalist Morgan. My first time at this park. Much larger than I expected. Was raining but still good views. Saw birds, ducks and a hawk. Like native plants being added and restoration work being done. Looking forward to further improvements. Good place for kid hikes and dog walking.”

“I work nearby so steal an hour when I can to go out for a walk here n the coast line. It provides the perfect scenery for a little escape from work and blasting air conditioning to visit the variety of critters (squirrels, bunnies and lizards) as well as a myriad of birds. It's very quiet and clean and well maintained. I bring my kids here to ride bikes along the miles and miles on paved pathway when I have time as well. Nice place. I'm here at least 4 days a week.”
