(June 4, 2018, 4:06 pm)I almost feel bad posting this review cause Blake Gardens is one of my secret spots in Berkeley. this magical garden (not open on weekends) is such a unique place to picnic, have a walk or enjoy spring. with an insane variety of plants that will surprise you every season
(May 25, 2018, 10:48 pm)Beautiful, well maintained trails, beautiful flowers and water features and awesome views. Come alone with a book or a journal and enjoy the peace and quiet in one of the many benches or bring the family and enjoy the kid areas. Two downsides... Parking is limited and they're only open during the week.
(May 23, 2018, 4:29 pm)This is a small, beautiful garden with lovely views of San Francisco Bay, wooded trails, a koi pond and flower gardens. It is open weekdays only. It is a great spot for photography, and quiet walks. Children love exploring the trails and crossing the little bridges across the streams. The is a parking lot, but no visitor center. There is a porta potty.

The building of the stadium prompted the building of two homes in the Kensington hills, Anson Blake's house, now Blake Garden, and the Edwin Blake house, now the Carmelite Monastery.
