“I've gone to about 3 other Ophthalmologist/Optometrist before coming here. All whom I never got to talk to other than speaking to answer questions. I was actually referred by my primary doctor to be seen by Dr. Fagoora. From my experience, I got nothing but good vibes from him. Usually I'm slow to warm up, but he was easy to talk to. Although he talks very rapidly,...I really wish I could understand him better. He gave me good tips on what I should do to care for my eyes. I loved how he was able to show me a mini lesson so I can understand how the eye works. He also took a photo of me. I don't know why, but I'm very sure he does it for every new patient. I thought it was cool because he can really put a face to his patient's names. I think he has a good humor and was pretty cool for my first impression. And he also said to stay away from the eye makeup (causes inflammation), because natural beauty is more beautiful. Points for that! (Note: There was someone foreshadowing him in the room.) * Before seeing the doctor, we were taken to a dark room where they dilate our eyes. The assistant tells us to keep our eyes closed for 3 minutes after the eye drops. She also translated for this little boy next to me in Spanish. 3 minutes passed by, and I opened my eyes. I see that the kid kept his eyes closed. I didn't know whether to tell him that the 3 minutes was up or not. As I sat there waiting, a couple minutes later I heard a snore. The kid had completely fallen asleep! lol Dr. Fagoora came in, turned on the light, and called my name. He goes, "is he with you?" (Referring to the kid.) I said, no. He said, "Are you sure? Well, we will let him sleep a little while." lol I would like to put a special review for the lady at the front desk, named Sara E.. Before my visit, I had called in and spoke to Sara E. I called to make sure I was going to the right location for my appointment. (I didn't know where it was.) When I had told her my appt was at 2pm, she wasn't able to find me on the schedule. I was so upset (deep inside) because I had waited for almost 2 weeks for the appt & I needed eyeglasses for an event coming up. I'm assuming the person I spoke to prior failed to put me down on the schedule. Regardless of the situation, Sara was so sweet through it all and had me come down to the office anyways to be seen. When I walked in, there were more complications and a misunderstandings (on my part). Pretty much, Sara (sweet soul) had to call my primary doctor to see if he had sent an authorization in order for me to be seen. So trying to wrap this story shorter, I had to drive ALL the way back to my primary doctor's office to get the authorization paper to return back to the eye doctor. Throughout all this trouble, Sara was awesome, very helpful, and super calm. It really made me feel so much comfort. She would keep me informed and say, "In about 5 minutes, I'll call you in to get your eyes dilated." But during my wait, I had to pick up an important call and had stepped outside to answer. Sara went out of her way and went outside to look for me because my name was called. She did not have to do all that she did, but she did it anyways. I really appreciate people like her!”
