Courage Bagels

NYC native of many years, these bagels are legitimately very very good. I'd take them without all the fancy toppings (which are also really good) simply because having this level of bagel with butter or cream cheese makes the bagel shine..enjoy. Go early, the line is slow- this is definitely LA speed service, not NYC speed.

I may have waited in line about an hour to order, and then maybe stood around for about 30 or 40 minutes for the bagels to be prepared. Wait was long, but it was so so worth it. My favorite part was the onion bagel. The smoked salmon and wild alaskan roe toppings were great, but i think the bagel is what made it amazing. The bread is so soft in the inside, and crispy on the outside - you will hear the soft crunch when you take your bite Into the bagel. So delicious! Also half a bagel is actually very filling. I suggest getting two halves of different bagels to try a variety.

Was little disappointed though that there was not much seating. We had the eat in the car, but still not that upset since the food was great.

A place seriously dedicated to making great bagels. They are softer then some other styles and have a great array of garnishes. If your coming for lunch I recommend buying some bagels on top of that as the lineups are very long.

Courage Bagels is a very popular spot with many claiming that the bagels here are better than NYC bagels. With that statement came the hordes of crowds to eat here so expect to wait awhile (40+min) to get your bagel fix.

It's been awhile since I've had NYC bagels so it's hard to support or deny that claim, but what I can say is that these bagels are damn delicious! I did find that the bagels were lighter than the thick dense doughy kind that I've had so many of. The "simply delicious" is their version of the lox bagel, and it was fantastic.

There is limited seating outdoors.

Parking: May the parking Gods be ever in your favor. Good luck finding some street parking.
