“My kids love Assumption, they enjoy going to school. We feel we are part of a loving family, where everyone takes care of each other. Parents, teachers, staff, administration, and pastors are all very accessible and work together to benefit our children. Both our children are thriving academically, they are challenged and nurtured by teachers who truly care. There is a buddy system in the school, where the older graders look out for the younger graders, and role model core values. Assumption feels like home.”

“I cannot say enough about Acting Up and its director, Christina Harris and her staff. My daughter has been through other drama programs and Acting Up, is by far, the best. Gracie learned the most while having the most fun. Her workshops over the school year are always packed with a lot of fun and learning in a low pressure and safe group of peers. Apart from the dramatic skills the children learn, they also learn how to carry themselves in front of an audience. This has translated into my daughter being much more poised when she is public speaking, interviewing or just speaking confidently with adults she is meeting for the first time. Christina and her staff are kind and gentle. If you have a shy child, this is a safe and fun environment for them to face that challenge without being aware they are being challenged. I have witnessed some truly amazing transformations in some of her kids. The bolstered self esteem they walk away with is perhaps the most beautiful thing of all. I think every kid should try one of these workshops or Summer camp at least once. ”

“Frostig is amazing! They made my son love school again. It is warm and friendly. The teachers really care about the students. This school celebrates differences and understands everyone learns in their own unique way.”

“Our daughter has gone to Norma Coombs from Kinder through 3rd grade so far. We stayed with Norma Coombs despite moving out of Pasadena, and we will continue to send her to Norma Coombs through 5th grade. Our daughter in involved in after-school choir and coding programs, and the normal-school-day curriculum this year includes violin, swimming, and ceramics along with language arts, math, and science curriculum that is actually ahead of some other schools that we've toured. This is a wonderful school with incredibly talented and invested staff and teachers, and a very diverse student body. I frequently recommend it to other parents in the area whose children go to other schools, especially when they complain about things their schools are doing wrong that Norma Coombs does right! Like other schools in PUSD, Norma Coombs is being affected by mismanagement and shake-ups at the district-level, but the staff and teachers have been doing a commendable job of bearing the brunt of these challenges and maintaining a high quality of education and environment for the children.”

“If you want to meet a group of people you can call family, come to Crosspoint! You’ll hear a clear message from Pastor Phillip that comes straight from God’s word, hear the gospel preached, and be surrounded by people who actually care. The music is also really great, incorporating both old school hymns and modern contemporary songs in every service. They have a kids class, and weekly bible study where you can dive into the Word and fellowship with others. They also do outreach in the community. So thankful to call Crosspoint my church family!”
